Dr PADMAJA PAI-SHENOY
A 26 years old married girl was investigated and USG Pelvis revealed, Right ovarian cyst 5.8 x 4.7 on 13 Jan 2009.
It was a predominantly anechoic cyst.
Patient was newly married and had taken the I pill (emergency contraceptive pills) twice.
I counselled her on the adverse effects of frequent use of the I pill. She had swelling of both feet and frequent urination. She was thirstless. I gave her Pulsatilla 200 tds for 2 months.
Repeat USG on 10 March 2009 was normal. No cyst visible!
