MATERIA MEDICA

Materia Medica (MM) is the backbone of Homoeopathy. A clear understanding of the remedy allows the discerning homoeopath to spot the remedy immediately on seeing the patient and confirming it by a penetrating history taking. This is is what is called intuitive prescribing. It is actually an art which has been developed over a period of time by through study of the MM and of the patients who come to us.

This understanding of Masters, along with the cases we solve, allow our MM to grow. This is what is aimed at in this section. It is so important that two other sections in the NJH also contribute to developing the MM - 'learn a remedy through cases' and 'from our heritage'.
