Vol 31 No 3.
Quarterly Homoeopathic Digest is compiled, translated and published by Dr K S Srinivasan. The part 1 of the journal lists the current literature in Homoeopathy drawn from well-known Homoeopathic journals published world-over. This section is further classified as; philosophy, materia medica, therapeutics, repertory, veterinary, research, history, education, biography, books, and news.
Part 2 gives extracts of selected important articles. The Kiev school of Homoeopathy has developed 'somatic essences' by examining every patient naked and making observations and eliciting information from body looks. The Thuja personality is known to be big, has rounded hips, lemon rind texture of skin greasy hair, warts and visible veins of the nostrils. This aspect of remedy study helps one to prescribe faster and accurately too.
Part 3 features the editors own contribution wherein he points out the mistakes in synthesis repertory [SYN] published by Frederick Schroyens. A few mistakes are as follows: (1) Delusion, Crime, commit, about to: Kali-bich [SYN 51, CR 96] Delusion, Dead, child is, her: Kali-bich [SYN 51, CR97] Kali-bich should be changed to Kali-brom as these symptoms are listed under Kali-brom in Hering's Guiding Symptoms (2) Fear, Poisoned, of being: Kali-bi [SYN 182] This is an addition from Knerr's repertory and Kenrr's abbreviation for Crotalus borridus is Crotal: also Hering's Guiding Symptoms does not include Crotalus cascavella. Hence it should be corrected as Crotalus-horriduls.
