THE HOMOEOPATHIC HERITAGE,
March 95
1921, Chuna Mandi, 10th Street
Post Box 5775, Paharganj, New Delhi - 100 055.

Prescribing merely on acute symptoms misled Dr. C.S. Sandhu who is of the firm opinion that it is far more important and more satisfactory to consider, at all times, the patient fully in his generals, even when one would seem to be neglecting the reason for being asked to treat the patient. Hahnemanns Organon the 15th installment of a series of lectures given by Dr. M.L. Tyler continues in this issue. Every person has different emotions, lives in different, economic, social as well as domestic affairs. Some persons are easily moved to tears when some tragedy is narrated before them, others may be unaffected. The crux of prescribing is the art of individualization for every therapeutist, reports Dr. Tara Singh Bhobal. Zincum-met a remedy with physical mental restlessness is well explained by Dr.Vakil illustrating a few cases. A case of Coeliac disease cured by Gaertner-co is reported by Dr. William Griggs Kent says "All remedies are full of freaks, and it is the figuring out of these peculiarities that enables us to do good prescribing". Most of the articles published are reprints from Hahnemann Gleanings and British Homoeopathic Journal.

The Ohio meeting was jointly, sponsored by four Homoeopathic medical societies. A detailed report of the speakers is presented. Talking on Nosodes Barriers, Dominique Senn suggested the following factors in the patient; lack of response to the similimum, hypersensitivity to all remedies; exaggerated and long lasting aggravations to remedies and frequent relapses; sudden end to beneficial effect of remedies and exaggerated and long lasting phenomena which move in reverse of Herings Law. Dr. Starre details a case of hypothyroidism and lists commonly used remedies Bromium. Cal Carb, Iodum, Lachesis, Spongia. A case of carpal tunnel syndrome was saved from the surgeons Knife by Rhus Tax 30. The use of amalgam (silver and mercury) fillings in teeth remains a controversial topic. Many holistic dentists believe that such fillings are not good for the health of the patients, while the American Dental Association maintains that there is no harm in using mercury in the mouth. Dr. Hotchkins gives a case of 43 years old man who suffered from sores in his mouth and dyspepsia for 15 years. Merc cor 3 and Nitric acid CM provided partial relief. The patient was advised removal of Amalgam CM which put an end to his sufferings Arnica before a dental extraction and Calendula gargles after removal are recommended by julian. Winston. Remedies for sore throat have been listed with respective symptomatology. Few interesting veterinary cases are listed.

THE HOMOEOPATHIC HERITAGE
November 95

Two cases of patients who ad ongoing treatment over a period of eight years for non life threatening complaints eventually developed cancer while still having Homoeopathy. Eminent Homoeopaths share their comments for the cases. Dr.Alok Pareek reports two cases of breast tumors which after Homoeopathic medication were ruled out negative for cancer through biopsy. Anne Gale details the materia medica of B.Guertner. Angles Zajac opines that in order to demonstrate consistency that Homoeopathy can cure, we must not speculate in our case taking, and imagine there are always mental symptoms which will guide us to the remedy. The prejudicial interpretation of signs and symptoms in this way will result in erratic results in our practice with the resulting loss in credibility of our science.

Cases, reviews and letters form the rest of the contents of the issue.
