A study of 38 women who were given specialized acupuncture treatment in USA demonstrated significant relief in depression comparable to those of psychotherapy or pharmacotherapy & full symptom remission. Dr Srinivasan writes about mindset and mind-power - a very important dimension of holistic approach to disease management. The functioning of every brain cell depends on its chemistry; sodium, potassium, chloride and other ions determine their behaviour. The January issue of this monthly carries an article on a Siddha medicine, Radhanamudham, made from herbs can be an effective cure for AIDS and it is under testing.
