On 9-10 April, to mark Dr Hahnemann's 250th birth anniversary, Chandigarh branch of Indian Institute of Homoeopathic Physicians (Regd) organized two days seminar at Bhai Makhan Singh Lubana hall, Sec 30. Dr Prafull Borkar and Dr Vijay Shah Faculty members of Predictive Homoeopathy, Mumbai were the speakers. Over 300 delegates from Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana , Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, UP, Uttaranchal etc attended this seminar.
In the welcome address Dr B S Chandhok lauded the efforts made by Dr Prafull Vijaykar (Mumbai) in scientifically explaining the homoeopathic system. Also sending Dr Borkar and Dr Shah to Chandigarh for the welfare of homoeo masses. Dr P S Ranu appreciated the efforts made by IIHP in propagating the classical system. He cautioned to all especially homoeo doctors in Punjab to shun the unhomoeopathic (Allopathic or other) practice otherwise shortly with the help of police their clinics will be raided and cases will be framed according to the law. Chief guest Mr Bursar also spoke and promised to do his best in forwarding the demands to Captain Amarinder Singh CM Punjab regarding homoeopathic system.
At the onset, Dr Borkar showed a case of a doctor suffering with Chronic eczema + Diabetes. He was a down to earth man with very little ambition in life. People tortured him for honesty. Even he neglected his family. He was a hot patient, craving for warm food. A dose of Lyco 200 prescribed. In the follow-up the doctor showed marvelous improvement, not only in eczema but DM also controlled as shown in clinical reports. He explained Lyco in Psoric, Sycotic and Syphilitic phase.
Dr Vijay Shah explained Periodic Table and few remedies from it like Aurum, Platina, Barytas etc. He showed a case of a young girl suffering from mental disorder due to non formation of brain as shown in CT scan/MRI. She was cured of it with Baryta-sulph. Different confirmatory symptoms of Baryta-mur, B-iod and B-sulph were also expained by Dr Shah. He told to take the totality of each and every case stressing on
