Case: Acute Urticaria
Since last eight days, a lady, 32 years came with large, nodular urticaria - intense itching > cold application; with burning after scratching. She was given a dose of Apis-mel 30 which helped her. Then after two days it again erupted with more rash and itching. Apis-mel 200 and then even 1M did not help. Then she was given Urtica-urens 30 without any help. Desperately I gave Anti-pyrine 30 but with temporary benefit.
I looked into the case carefully and came with two characteristics.
- When the urticarial rash would come up, she would have a cold bathing which > her. But after half an hour there will be intense itching.
- She would feel nervous and constipated before menses.
I searched for a remedy in MM and found that Vespa covers the two points well. A dose of Vespa 200 brought a lasting effect.
