CASES MATERIA MEDICA GENERAL ARTICLES ABSTRACT MISCELLANEOUS Q & A

Letters to the Editor
NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 2003 Sep / Oct VOL V NO 5.

My Views and Thoughts
Ref: Editorial Column- page no 240 para 10 to 13 regarding – premature Death of Homoeopaths.

Natures Law: Birth’s permanent foe is death. Whenever and wherever the vital force of human being diminishes, it is a feast and prey to the death.
The fundamental causes of unripe death are as follows:
1. Genetic
2. Effects of environmental influences.

Finally, on studying Dr Hahnemann’s Organon of Medicine Aphorism No74, 78, 81 relating to effect of allopathic medicines, miasms and heredity respectively, it can be understood that our ancestors and others who lived during the lifetime of Dr Hahnemann and were diseased in some way, yet were selected for Drug proving under the assumption that they were healthy. As this process was done, one could understand the fact that these selected people also might be suffering from less vital force. In case the patient recovers from his ill-health on account of the homoeopathic treatment based upon nature’s law of cure – " Similia similibus curantur", it can be considered that the vital force of the person subjected to Drug proving is similar to the proved similar medicine administered to the person in consideration of the symptoms of the disease. In case the expected results do not occur, it means that they are not similar. ‘The homoeopathic Law of Similar’ applies to this also.

The reason for revealing my inner thoughts here is that the Homoeopathic Medical System must improve to be at par with the Allopathic Medical System.
The Vital Force is as essential as the heart. Wherever in Homoeopathic system the lack of vital force prevails, that should be rectified. Then only premature deaths of Homoeopaths may be lessened.
(Editor: So it then means that we Homoeopaths are not taking care and trouble to set our own Vital Force in order- due to carelessness, lack of time or motivation, all probably due to a feeling of indestructibily which comes to all human beings but more so the doctor who heals so many?)

Dr K Raju,

In your issue "Mixed Bag" on page no 172, Uterine Fibroid. In case 3. follow up: given with Pulsatilla and Sepia.
Let me know on which basis these two drugs were given to patient without their proper relation as Pulsatilla is hot and calm and Sepia is chilly and indifferent, irritable.
Dr Sachin Dhamgay,
Sub No 6555.

Dear Dr Sachin Dhamgay,
Please refer to your query about case no 3 of Uterine
Fibroid on page no. 172 in Mixed Bag issue. The medicines Pulsatilla & Sepia were given to the patient on the basis of some uncommon mental symptoms and not on the complete drug picture of any medicines.

Sepia
was given on the basis of symptom, washing hands mania which was much marked in the patient and could not be neglected. This symptom is not present in Pulsatilla.

As mentioned by you about the indifference and irritability of Sepia and Pulsatilla, you can find both of them in the same grade in Kent’s Repertory (Page no 54 & 58) and the rubric Calm is present in Sepia in top grade.

Hot and Chilly concept, as pointed by you, is physical general but the medicines were given on the basis of mental generals, which is given more importance as per Homoeopathic Philosphy. I hope this satisfies your query.

Yours Sincerely
Dr Girish Gupta,

This is regarding NJH CME.  I would like to thank you for such an enlightening lecture of PMS. Dr Asrani who talked at the physiological level, gave such a detailed basis as to why do such the symptoms happen during PMS, it made it really simple  And to add to it today morning when I opened BT (Bombay times) there is Anjali Mukerjee talking about MOOD........LIFT KARADE. Yes, all about depression, serotonin, the dietery changes and what to eat and what to avoid, metioning a clear relationship between nutrients and depression.
Thanks for everything. I am new to CME and hope to continue a lifetime association with NJH.

Thanks
Dr Priyanka Shelatkar, Mumbai

Welcome to the NJH family and a lifetime association. Thank you for registering with the NJH website too.)

I have gone through the 70th issue of NJH, which I received on 02-12-03. On page no. 273 I read an article on cancer by Dr Pankaj Bhatnagar. On page 275 to page 277 he has mentioned regarding many mother tincture to 3x herbal Medicine.
Madam I have also passed examination of AYURVEDA RATNA in 1984 and since than I am also practicing herbal medicine with Homoeopathy.

To best of my knowledge and experience all herbal medicine if used as AYURVEDA principle works on balance of VAT, PITTA AND KAF. If used homeopathically they work like mother tincture as Organ remedy based as their physiological action. All drugs mentioned have no physical general or Mental symptoms .

Cancer is disease at deeper level with miasmatic affecting VITAL force and immunity. I do not under stand how Mother tincture, Herbal medicine will cure disease like cancer
Herbal medicine in tincture form is Naturopathy or Ayurvedic medicine.

As per law of Homoeopathy: for disease at dynamic level we require Potentised medicine in Higher potency .Otherwise , I have seen with local acting medicine a superficially cancer lesion with Metastasis to deeper level. Hence my humble request to all homoeopaths, not to suppress local lesion by local acting medicine (mother tincture, Herbal medicine, Ayurvedic medicine).

Always use Potentised anti-syphilitic or anti-sycotic medicine for dynamic disease like cancer. Here I will like to mention that nosodes prepared by Dr Mirza Anwar Baig of Mumbai are very effective Intercurrent remedy in treatment of Cancer .
I am writing this letter from my experience.

Thanking you
Dr V P Bansal

(Editor: We request Dr Bhatnagar to reply. I would also like to add my own query on how to select and administer such a combination of remedies.)
