Nosode helped me in Curing Varicose Veins
NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 2003 Sep / Oct VOL V NO 5.
Dr Sonu Mehrotra
'Mag-pol-aust

Mrs Raj came to me on 2.2.03 for treatment of Varicose Veins, which she had for last many years. Earlier they were not painful, but for one year, she was getting too much pain. She had taken several pain killers but to no avail.

Patient As A Person:

When I went through the book ‘Select your Remedy’ by Dr Rai Bahadur Bishambhar Das under the chapter Veins, I found many medicines but one peculiar symptom made me to select the correct remedy which was ‘Throbbing pain in the legs when hanging down with the feeling of hot water running down the affected part’, ‘Magnetis-polus-australis’. Going into the details of the medicine, I found the patient is indisposed to talk and work. Our patient too wants to be alone, thus even her mental picture was also covered by this nosode. In the same book under the remedy Hamamelis it was written that the lotion of Hamamelis may be applied locally in all cases of varicose veins, so I asked the patient to mix Hamamelis Q 1 oz in 100 ml of Olive Oil and apply over varicose veins in the night and leave it over night.

Treatment:

I started giving Mag-pol-aust 30 twice a day and Hamamelis lotion in the night to be applied on the affected part and after a week found a great improvement physically as well as mentally. Now in the first week itself after giving this nosode, there was no pain in legs. She is cheerful and started doing all work at home happily. I reduced the medicine to once in a day after a month and then kept the patient on placebo for a month, but she kept on getting relief in redness, tenderness of varicose veins which has reduced a lot. She kept improving and is still under observation.
