It is a feeling of being threatened,
When one is in distress
Psychologists label it Anxiety
Or the person has stress.
Stress is a subjective feeling
May it be strong or mild
Depends on the cause of distress
And coping abilities of the child.
Stress is inevitable when
Needs are unfulfilled
Negative feelings dominate
And one’s fate seems sealed.
Needs may be oxygen or food
Or just a glass of water
Or material things which
Should not matter.
Optimal stress is necessary
To initiate action
Overstress makes one sick
And leads to inaction.
