This is Dr Babubhai Shah’s first book. His vast experience in Homoeopathy has been gained by working, from 1971, in several medical centres - private, government and charitable.

The book is 100 pages, divided into Part I-dealing with general information about the Twelve tissue Remedies, preparation, potency, dose, repitition and combinations. Part II deals with each remedy in detail; also given is the Calc-phos baby, Nat-mur baby, Silicea baby and Nat-phos baby. He has given a Table of Birth Salts - viz Birth Salt of Zodiac sign: Aries is eg Kali-phos; Pisces is Ferr-phos.

Part-III deals with inorganic salts - viz Alumina, Ant-crud viz 24 salts found in the human body in very minute forms.

Part IV has remedies listed for specific pathology viz Dropsy has Kali-mur, Nat-mur, Nat-sulph, Epilepsy has Kali-mur and Silicea. He has covered 50 such specific ailments-from Abscess to Worms. Part V and Part VI is a ready reckoner of remedies and modalities for few specific ailments.

A fairly comprehensive book, where an obvious effort has been made to make it simple and complete. The print is easy on the eye though a lot of errors in language and grammar. But we suggest, in future, he does take extra effort over proof reading, important for a text-book.

Scattered advertisements, unusual for a medical text-book, detracts from the concept of a text book.
All in all a commendable first effort.
