On 16 &17 March 02, Punjab branch of IIHP and Association for Scientific Research in Homoeopathy, organised a two day Seminar on MM at Durga Mandir Hall of Idderbaha (Pb). Inspite of the short notice, a good number of delegates from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan attended. Speakers gave their best to attract the newcomer and the distracted ones, towards Classical Homoeopathy. Dr Gurjant Singh Sekhon, CMO, lighted the traditional lamp to Dr Hahnemann’s portrait, followed by garlading & pay floral tributes by Dr S S Vithal, National Vice President IIHP, Dr Avtar Singh President IIHP (Pb), Dr A S Mann National Joint Scty IIHP, Dr Sanjay Sehgal from Delhi.

First Session 16 March 02 Dr Sanjay Sehgal spoke on Aconite elaborating it from mind rubrics. Dr S S Vithal from Khanna (Pb) showed a case of Gall bladder polyp to whom surgeons at Sitapur UP advised immedite surgery, cured with a single dose of Puls 30, the selected similimum based on holistic approach, according to Herring’s law that too within 100 days. He elaborated drug picture of Trimiasmatic Puls in a beautiful way. (See chart at back). Dr Bhupinder Singh asked from the speaker if the given case was Chilly instead of Hot, would you have changed your presciption? Dr Vithal gave a prompt reply YES, it would have been

Cyclamen in that case. It was a thirstless case; had it been thirsty the remedy could have been different. Because Homoeopathy is Mathemetics, where each and every rare, peculiar, mental, physical general, general, modalities etc have their due importance. He also showed number of slides on OHP depicting how the Body language of a person is and can be useful in selecting Homoeopathic similimum.

It was a new topic and recieved a patient hearing. Dr Prem Kumar from Delhi showed two cases, of blindness and renal failure cured with single dose selected on mind rubrics only. Dr A S Mann from Sangrur showed cases of Hysteria where a single dose of rightly selected Homoeopathic remedy on Sehgal’s theory did wonders. Just for a change there was a cultural programme at night by the students of Homoeopathic colleges from Abohar and Tarataaran.

On 17th March Sunday number of delegates were more than previous day. Dr Rama Kant Jagpal from Ludhiana showed a case of dreaded disease Hepatitis B cured with homoeopathic medicine selected on classical principles.Dr Sudesh from Jalandher showed cases suffering from heart disease cured with correct similimum only. He elaborated in a case Cocculus was prescribed on Sehgal’s method about 8-10 yrs back by him. When the same case was retaken now on classical lines this time also the remedy selected was the same. Dr Bhupinder Singh, Ex-Chairman Punjab Homoeo Council showed cases of fibroid uterus,gall bladder stones,ovarian cyst cured with medicine selected only on mind symptoms.

Dr Ravinder Singh from Dhuri (Punjab) also shared his experience teaching versions of different mind rubrics. Dr Gurmeet Gill Principle Kalyan Hom Med College Tarantaaran,

Dr Anil Sharma from Rohtak (Hya), Dr Sunandan Sood from Tarantaran(Pb), Dr Bhupinder Singh from Gidderbaha participated in the healthy discussion.

It was a good maiden experience by the organisers to bridge the gap between different schools of thoughts in Homoeopathy. Dr.Bhupinder Singh Ex-Chairman CHSM Pb, Dr A S Mann & their team of dedicated doctors/students worked hard to make it a successful event in the stipulated 15 days and a reasonable fee of 450/- incuding all food and lodging.
