NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 2001 Mar / Apr VOL III NO 2.
You have mentioned in the Editorial Column of "POTENCY-1" issue (Nov-Dec 2000) that "The culprit is Madam Hahnemann. She for reason of monetary gains did not release the 6th Ed of the Organon for publication for a long time".
I think the term "culprit" is not suitable for second Madame Hahnemann (Marie Malani d'Hervilly - Gohier Hahnemann)
It is true that during her life-time several eminent Homoeopaths like Drs Bayes, Boenninghausen, Dunham, Hering, Lippe, Raue and others attempted to bring out the original manuscript of latest edition of the Organon for the survival of true Hahnemannian Homoeopathy. But due to her business practice and other circumstances all attempts failed. Here, we should remember one point that, when Dr Boenninghausen, in various letters, had earnestly requested the widow of the founder of Homoeopathy, to publish the 6th edition of Organon, Madame Hahnemann in her replies always stated that she had solemnly promised her husband on his death-bed, not to allow to be published until it becomes absolutely necessary in the interests of science and until pure Homoeopathy is in danger of branching off into wrong paths.
It is also true that Madam Hahnemann was very tight on money matter and once wanted to sell the original manuscript of 6th Edition of Organon to American Homoeopaths only for a huge sum of money ($50,000).
Whatever accusation we level at her for the harassment of our stalwart physicians and also her puzzling character which delayed the publication of Dr Hahnemann's final edition of Organon for nearly 80 years, yet, I would like to say here, that Madame Hahnemann was not acting wrong. Because it was Dr Hahnemann's foresightedness to judge one and half century ago, about our folliness which compelled him to take this promise from his 2nd wife, at his death-bed.
Anyhow, now another 80 years have passed since the publication of 6th edition of Dr Hahnemann's Organon, but still we are not sincere to honour his latest research work. Now-a-days, we, so-called modern Homoeopaths feel confused whether the posthumous edition of Organon was written by Dr Hahnemann himself or not. We are also seeking for the 7th, 8th Edition!! But the tragedy is that we are looking back and following the 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd even 1st edition of Organon where Dr Hahnemann started to experiment with crude drug, ie., Mother Tincture (Q)!
If we really want to look forward and really seed the new edition of Organon, then all the previous edition of Organon naturally become OBSOLETE at least upto 5th edition. Now the 6th Edition has to be considered as final until the next edition(s) appears.
So, the question arises, who will correct, revise and improve the 6th edition of Dr Hahnemann's Organon like Dr Kent's Repertory was done by Dr R P Patel and others?

Ed: I had only to say we do not receive critical comments and in comes this letter on 13-7-01. So we added it at last minute. Thank you, Dr Choudhary.
I find the National Journal of Homoeopathy quite useful and instructive. However from a beginner's point of view, I would like to point out the following.
- Most authors, for whatever reasons, do not give the reason out of the symptoms for the Miasms of their patients. Only the mention of the Miasms in made. The symptoms on which the conclusion is drawn would be very educative to us.
- There are a lot of abbreviations used. For one who abbreviates, it is easy to understand, but not so for the readers. Often it takes a lot to decipher it. Leading practitioners are familiar with allopathic abbreviations while a beginner is not quite so. I would there for request that the expansion should be given in the beginning of the article or compile all the abbreviations used in the issue in the last page of the book.
Ed: Yes this is being done on the last page. If you had mentioned some particular abbreviations, we would have added those.
I desire to renew my subscription for 3 years. Do keep up the excellent standard of your magazine which I feel is one of the best I have read. All the very best.

I get much knowledge from National Journal of Homoeopathy. I request to you please give a special issue on:
- Male Sterility with especial emphasis on Azoospermia and Oligospermia and how it will be cured in homoeopathy with many type of case record.
- Causation based clinical therapeutics.
- Constitution with detail about how to select constitutional medicine and its importance in homoeopathy with some example.
Ed: Yes certainly we will take these into account next year issues of National Journal of Homoeopathy.
