It is entirely different from the books you must have read till now. The author has made an earnest attempt to explain how homoeopathic medicines work. Often Allopaths complain that as there to no medicinal substance present in potencies above 12, homoeopathic remedies have only a placebo effect. Several attempts have been made in the past to explain how and why homoeopathic medicines work.
According to Arumugham, ionic energy, which is derived by disintegration and potentisation of food, through the digestive process, is transferred to the energy system of the body, to carry out various functions in the body with the help of bio-magnetic field in the body. The ionic energy obtained through the potentisation of the medicinal substance, helps to tone up the defective electrical energy system of various elements by charging the biological batteries in the body and produce the same effect as charging of depleted and rundown rechargeable batteries, in our day to day life, to impress the function in the affected elements of the body.
In this connection, it is to be pointed out, that electrolyte of biological battery in the human organism has a certain quantum of ion concentration of a particular basic element and because of addition of ions of the same element to the electrolyte, the ion concentration increases. When some electrical energy of the element is drawn from the biological battery for body functions, part of ions stored in the electrolyte (body fluid) is lost resulting in the reduction of voltage of the biological battery of the element.
Hence the output of the battery will be reduced, just like a hand torch, whose brightness progressively dim on usage, which is due to drop in voltage due to depletion of energy in the cell. Such depletion of energy will affect the functions of the cell due to inadequate output. Hence corresponding ion energy has to be added or pumped into the electrolyte, to bring the specific gravity, voltage and power output to normal level.
Speaking Briefly: The author has tried to explain how ionic energy derived from the food, is transferred to the energy system in the body to carry out various functions with the help of Bio-magnetic field.
He has also stressed the importance of right potency of the Homoeopathic medicine, which helps to tone up the defective energy system in the body. It is thus that the body charges its depleted biological batteries from time to time. The external electro-magnetic force plays the vital role on the internal electro-magentic field force inside every cell. The author has stressed that the efficiency of the cure depends upon the extent of care the physician takes in selecting the remedy. Superficial cure of acute suffering is not of much use. Medicine should be given on miasmatic and constitutional basis
He has also discussed disease process, treatment of disease, chronic and acute diseases, mind and miasm, cure process etc giving the above principles of biological battery in the body. And finally, he has concluded that the mind is the fundamental cause for all disease conditions in the body.
It is a book worth reading once with an alert mind."
