First of the quarterly seminar-cum-meeting of IIHP, scheduled for Punjab, was held at Punjabi Bhaban of Ludhiana on Sunday 16-7-2000.
Morning Session Dr S S Vithal, Chief speaker, showed a video case of a 9 year old boy having TUBEROUS SCLEROSIS (EPELOI). In Nov 99, this child was brought for multiple warts on the face. Staph 200 one dose followed by placebo cleared the warts within 3 weeks. But on 22 March 2000, he had epileptic sezures and was brought in acute emergency. ECG and CT Scan established the diagnosis as Tuberous Sclerosis. Dr Vithal showed OHP sides from various authentic books, which stated clearly that the prognosis of Tuberous Sclerosis was poor to nil. Only control of epileptic attacks with antiepileptic drugs could be aimed at. Retaking the full case in totality, Merc-sol one dose was given on 22-3-2000. Till day there is no attack of epilepsy and general well being of the patient improved as shown in follow up videos. Merc-sol was discussed in details, along with its differentiating points. At this point he stressed the need of study of practice of Medicine.
Case 2: 7 year old girl who became HE from SHE and had secondary deafness and dumbness after taking vaccination at the age of 3 years. It was a very interesting case who again turned SHE within 5 months after taking a dose of Platina 1M. Presently she is 80% better in speech and hearing 100% restored. General and peculiar picture of Platina was discussed in Psoric, Sycotic and Syphilitic and differentiated phases.
Video Case 3: Of a Kashmiri labourer suffering from acute renal colic due to 12mm stone along with diabetes was controlled with a single dose of Nat-carb, his genetically constitutional similimum remedy. The cases shown on video were highly applauded by the attending delegates and made them more confident in the system. Then followed a talk on Central idea or Nucleus or Crux of about 20 medicines: Abrotamum, Aurums, Anacar, Aconite, Bell, Bryonia, Baryta Calcarea, Cicuta, Cocc etc.
Post Lunch Session: Dr Arvind Vij and Dr Avtar Singh Aneta from Khanna discussed the following medicines along with the differentiating points giving cases examples: Carcinocin, Carbo-veg, Gels, Ign, Iodum, Ipecac, Kali, Natrum, Lyco, Sulph, Lachesis, Tuber, Medorrh etc.
It was a highly educational seminar and more such educational seminars were asked for.
