As one's practice expands, maintaining records gets unwieldy due to inadequacies of space. Case Tracker is a new software useful in recording cases for homoeopathic physician and to address this problem of storage.

This software does not require any expertise and is very user friendly. It has pictorial icons for each aspect of recording every patient's detail like chief complaints, history, symptoms, cravings and aversions, gynaecological and obstetric history and paediatric history, among others. It covers every detail and is useful to the classical homoeopath. A separate icon is reserved for follow-ups. It also has additional space for one's own entries and comments under each with heading. Though most of the common data is present, one can make additions easily. Similarly, data can be deleted as well. This simple but smart software meets the demands of a busy practice and is commendable in its user-friendliness. However, there is no facility of printing or back-up in this version. These functions are improved and included in the latest software.

It is very useful in the sense that it gives you a method by which to store even summaries of your cases, and retrieve them alphabetically. Once these are fed in, in this format, then even giving for articles or compilation of data on a particular topic or disease all become that much easier. It can be bought separately from the full software and costs Rs 6000/. NJH family gets it for Rs 2500/= only
