Monogram:

  1. Malnutrition: resulting in anemia, neurasthenia, diabetes, tuberculosis, also chronic rheumatism; and
  2. Degenerative Conditions (Arg-n).
    Softening: brain
    Fatty: liver, heart, arterial coats (atheroma)
    Sclerosis: arteries, brain, liver, posterior spinal cord
    Addison's disease; pain along course of basilar artery, deep pigmented patches on forehead (liver), profound adynamia.
    Disturbed metabolism
    Cancer
    Paralysis
    Tremors

Alimentary: GI irritation, Anorexia, acts as a tonic to digestive function (after gastro-enteritis); is "an energetic nutrition stimulator" (Alet, A/F)
Fatty liver: (Am-vanad.) Atheroma (Burnette)
Urinary: Albumin, casts.
Blood: sugar, uremia
Respiratory: Cough dry, irritating, paroxysmal; sometimes bloody expectoration. Cheyne stokes respiration (Sodium Vanadate). Early TB; as a tonic.
Chest: Weak heart action. Sensation as if heart was compressed; as if blood had no room in the aorta. Anxious pressure in the whole chest.
Physiologically its action is that of an oxygen carrier and a catalyser. Hence its use in wasting diseases. It increases amount of haemoglobin. Combines the oxygen (of RBC) with toxins and destroys their virulence. Also increases and stimulates phagocytes. Controls cholesterol synthesis also.
An oxidant stimulating organic combustion. A homoeopathic antioxidant.
