This small compilation succeeds in its intent of perceiving and understanding the rationality behind the basis of Homoeopathy namely the law of Similars.

It takes a look at the evidence, which suggests the knowledge of the law of similars by medical stalwarts like Hippocrates, Paracelsus, Aristotle, medical text of Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, and religion texts like Bible and Bhagwat Puran.

It is interesting to note that the Similia principle (knowingly or unknowingly) is not only followed by homoeopathic system, but in almost all therapeutic systems and allied branches of medicine - thus making it an universal law.

It also lists the potentialities of this law especially in the field of prophylaxis (eg by use of Nosodes).

It attributes its uniqueness to the humanistic approach. In conclusion, after citing its limitations, the author suggests that a dialogue be set up with Physicians of other schools, so that its integration can then call for a wider acceptance.
