This is a small compendium on Homoeopathic treatment of piles, fissures and fistula. Constipation is the main scourge of modern civilisation due to sedentary and wrong food habits leading eventually to haemorrhoids. As W J Guersney wrote a similar monograph years ago observed ( Quote) "we have proven Homoeopathic remedies enough to easily, surely and safely restore to health all patients suffering from uncomplicated piles. And, indeed the complicated cases should not be too quickly turned over to surgeon, simply because they are such. Fissure is one of these and.....we should renew our search for the Homoeopathic remedy with very great hope of success..... fistula , however, is less promising but the writer ( Dr Guernsey) would not personally permit operative treatment in the face of statistics, which show a possibility of pulmonic sequelae." (unquote). In treating this complaint, he says that subjective symptoms and the conditions of aggravation and amelioration are of most importance than the objective symptoms.
In this little monograph, Dr Khullar has alphabetically arranged the symptoms under the heads- causes, regional concomitants, accompanying symptoms, conditions of aggravation and amelioration and indicated the grading of the Homoeopathic remedies. A section of bio-chemic treatment of piles has also been included. A Small section on pointers to the important remedies has also been added for clinching the choice of the remedy. Some advice on the foods suitable for persons suffering from piles is a useful addendum. The detailed index at the end of the monograph is useful for ready reference. A handy and useful compilation and the author has labored much to compile the same, adding points from every source he found. I remember him telling me, each time he would give it for printing one more point would be found and he would add it, much to the consternation of the printer!!
