Case 1: The Wall Flower
A young, lean, introvert girl of 28 (I call her girl because she is still single and will probably never marry. The best way, then, to remain a girl forever!! ) came to us with Allergic Bronchitis.

Patient As A Person:
Appetite: Normal
Thirst: s for large quantity Cravings: rice3, curd2, pickles3
Aversion: oily food2
Bowels: 1/day; satisfactory
Micturition: N
Sleep: 6/7 hr, deep and full of dreams
Dreams: Gets premonition in dreams; usually whatever she sees come true

1. Once saw somebody falling and after a few days actually that person fell from a height.
2. Once saw someone is dead and everybody is eating pooja food. In a few days one person from that family expired.
3. Sees dreams of rains.

Menstrual History: Menarche - 13 yrs; 2-3 days/28; LMP - 31/7 Moderate quantity; clot + dark red
MB - cough gets suppressed, she gets breathless
MD - NAD
MA - Easy expectoration so feels better
Leucorrhoea - N

Life Situation:
Patient is youngest of 4 children. Fa is a businessman, very sound, understanding and a helpful type; he developed cancer prostate and expired 4 yrs back in 1995. Mo: cool. They are a closely-knit family, no fights, everybody understands everybody's problem, all are quiet and of good nature. Eldest brother is 35 yrs old, working in railways. 2nd brother does investment consultancy and is a little hot tempered. Eldest sister is 40 yrs, she had been married in 1986, but people were not good, they harassed her a lot and she got divorced in just 1 month. Her whole family supported her. They tried to get her married a second time but she refused. Now she gives tuitions and is able to support herself.

Our patient has always been a sickly child but continued to do well in her studies in spite of bad health, though could not participate much in sports. This in turn led to loss of confidence. She is particular about everything, eg cleanliness, keeping appointments etc. She has always been very hard working. Morning does housework, afternoon gives tuition and evening attends computer classes; does not want to get married; what is the security you get after marriage? After what happened to my sister, I am better alone. Says "Our parents are so good, they have not harmed anybody. Then why God wrote such a thing in our destiny? Why only we have to suffer?" Weeps and broods over this. Gets much anticipatory anxiety before exams, new work etc.

Drugs that emerged from Repertorial filter

Discussion: Carcinosin, such an ill-represented drug in the Repertory, came up so high in the working. She was a classical Carcinosin: introverted, with congenital disorders, suppressed, but affectionate within the family, has suffered a great deal in sympathy with her sister. It was as if the tragedy had happened to her directly and not through her sister. Carcinosin are like that: they feel suffering a great deal, but still they are optimistic and carry on with life. She too lives cheerfully after taking a conscious decision not to marry. You will often mind unmarried Carc; they do not have the opportunity or sometimes that quality to set up homes. They are sometimes not practical people. More idealistic. And idealism finds it difficult to get along in the world. Here a single dose of Carc cleared up the whole case. Even till today, till end of 99 she has kept fairly fine except for 1 minor attack.
