A Bhoomi Pujan of land for setting up Lokmanya Medical Foundation's own college, was done by Dr S P S Bakshi, President, Central Council of Homoeopathy at Tehrgaon, Chinchwad on 14/ 6/ 99. In his address Dr. Bakshi said that Maharashtra has 41 Homoeopathic colleges, the highest for any stats in India. Inspite of this, the state of Maharashtra has few government hospitals and dispensaries for the graduates passing out from these Homoeopathic Medical colleges.
