Now the problem of the child was solved and so too the mother's. But this case brought out one Issue, most to the forefront, was one of Women's' RIGHTS AND DUTIES:

  1. Qualified women - with restriction to work, after marriage.
  2. Balancing of professional and family life/ responsibility.
  3. Priority of duties.
  4. Whether child comes first: or the profession?
  5. The eternal MIL - DIL conflict.
  6. Husband's role in resolving this conflict.
  7. Her own role in getting the husband to resolve this conflict.
  8. Her ability to resolve it on her own
  9. The various modes of resolution - compromise or drastic steps.
The list of issues, which can come up, in such a situation, is endless. The contributions from the participants were fiery and charged with emotion, according to the personal experiences of the Group members. As expected, women participated to the maximum, but there were important contributions from the males too - surprisingly also emotionally charged. In fact the contributions were so intense and so many, that getting the mike became an impossibility. The high point was when one male walked over to the extreme right, and almost snatched the mike to make himself heard!
