Doon Ratna for Dr Mamgain
Dr S K Mamgain of Dehra Dun, has been awarded the Dr Durga Prasad Lokapriya Chikitsak Award 1997 and been conferred the Honour of DOON RATNA for the year 1997. The public function, organized by the NAGARAK PARISHAD, Dehra Dun was presided by Shri Sunil Shastri Ex- Energy Minister, Uttar Pradesh, Shree Keshari Nath Tripathi, and Adhyaksh; UP Vidhan Sabha was the Chief guest. Many luminaries of the town attended to felicitate Dr Mamgain.
The Nagarik Parishad of Dehra Dun is a Social organisation which, apart from various social work, honours personalities of the district who have achieved excellence in their respective field of work of scientific and social importance. Dr S K Mamgain has been selected for this honour for his commendable work in practice as well as in writings in the field of Homoeopathic science.

The National Award for Dr Chimthanawala
The South Delhi Hom Association, one of the oldest bodies of Homoeopaths in the country, selected Dr Kasim Chimthanawala from Nagpur for their prestigious Award for 1997-98. The award is given to an individual or Organisation for outstanding contribution in the areas of Academics and Research in Homoeopathy.
Dr Chimthanawala is the second recipient of this award. The Residential Training School conducted under the Gurukul system by him twice a year and the feedback from the trainees provided the information needed by the selection committee to choose him from 6 nominees. Shree Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, conferred the award at the National Homoeopathic Conference held on 5-6th Sept 1998, at PHD House, New Delhi. Dr Diwan Harishchand felicitated the recipient with a shawl and scroll.
At the meeting, Dr Kasim Chimthanawala presented a paper on Autoimmune disorders and some atypical cases successfully managed by lesser used Homoeopathic remedies..
