Letters to the Editor
NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 1998 Sep / Oct VOL VII NO 5.

I have been a subscriber with NJH for 4yrs now. It brings colour and relief to my other world of finance.

I would like to recite the events of my involvement with you. In 1978-79, I was attending the group discussions organized by Dr. M.L. Dhawale at Girgaum on every Saturday, which was popularly known as laymen group. I was also a member of the Homoeopathic Post Graduate Association then. The group consisted of 24 members with one-third each drawn from allopathy, homoeopathy and laymen like me. Dr. N.L. Tiwari used to be the conductor and Dr. Dhawale, sitting away, supervised the discussions. One Saturday, we were discussing Mag-mur. A smart looking young lady in her late teens hurriedly entered the room and joined the discussions. She presented to the group a new symptom: Craving for salt: under which Mag was not in the repertory. While she argued vehemently that the symptom was her proving of the remedy, another Homoeopath, present in the group, disagreed. She also stated that, having satisfied about her finding, she has made noting of the symptom as a rubric in her personal repertory. The argument continued till Dr. Dhawale intervened and agreed with the young lady. She did not know me at that time. Nevertheless, I thought to myself that this lady would one day become a renowned homoeopath. Can you guess who was it? You are right; it was none other than Dr. Vishpala, who was already Mrs. Parthasarathy then. She has grown very tall in her profession since then. I must say that I am particularly impressed with her unique ability to blend medical articles with a literary flavour. Besides being a good doctor, she is a good communicator and has excellent managerial skills. I wish her all the best in life and success for making NJH a reference journal in the years to come. The NJH really improves with every issue - a good mix of art and science . It is pleasing to the eye and to the mind. The last issue of Precious Metals has a really apt and wonderful cover and very good collection of articles. In the whole issue, I was able to find only 5 english mistakes! I hereby contribute my mite to NJH in the form of Patron membership.

Thank you, Mr Subaraman for your kind words. Encouragement always spur us to greater heights - Editor

Congratulations for writing such a beautiful editorial of Precious Metals issue. Yes we must discourage doctors not sharing their experience or asking lofty sums.
