A promising female remedy imbibing features of Secale (Ustilago contains ergotin). Sabina, Helonias and Lachesis.
Make Up: Weak, relaxed, flabby, atonic patients; blonde; consumptives; tall, thin, with clear white skins.
Women: Childless; large flabby, bloated looking with a sallow complexion; subject to profuse menses.
Muscular debility. Atonic condition of pelvic organs with flushes of heat; with hemorrhagic diathesis (Sabina); especially at the climacteric (Lach). Tissues tending to bleed slowly. Slow, passive hemorrhages.
Faint, sinking feeling; at 11 AM (Sulph); in warm room. Uneasiness (aching -burning)
Distress in visceral organs, mammae, testes.
As of a knot in throat, bowels, uterus etc
Pricking: Skin, temples, tongue.
Dryness: Nose, throat, skin
Falling: Hair, teeth, nails
Tumours: (bleeding) fibroids
Mind: Great bellicose irritability; mental weakness from sexual abuse and loss of semen. Melancholic depression; cries frequently; < warm room. Mania for bathing.

Head: Vertigo and headache reflex from ovarian or uterine conditions. Congestion; upward surging of blood with bursting in the head, full feeling and vertigo; esp at Climaxis (with menorrhagia and flushes of heat; like Mill ). Nervous headache since puberty; from menstrual irregularities in nervous women.
Scalp: Milk crust. Sticky secretion matting the hair; or serous (Nat-mur); offensive. Loss of hair; (complete) alopecia; after abortion.
Eyes: Aching in eye-balls (esp Rt) with much lachrymation .Photophobia. Partial or complete loss of control over the function of vision and deglutition. Dancing spots before eyes; whirling.
Nose: Dry, congested (spiran). Epistaxis of bright blood, > pressure. Feels sick as with a cold, malaise and dryness. Continuous watery discharge from nose and eyes, with occasional chills.
Throat: Tonsils swollen, congested, inflamed, dark red esp left with less pain there ( but right side pains more). Pain extends to ears.
Stomach: Distress - uneasiness in the region of the stomach; empty all-gone sensation at climacteric (Lach,Sulph); faint spells beginning in the epigastrium with small pains in the r. hypochondrium and bowels. Hematemesis; passive venous, with nausea, > vomiting. Dyspepsia for fats and starches.
Abdomen: Distress, uneasiness in the umbilicus and right hypochondrium. Grumbling pains < afternoon > hard, constipated stool.
Urinary: Uneasiness; tenesmus of bladder and incontinence of urine.
Male: Irritable weakness and relaxation of the sexual organs, with exaggerated erotic fancies, amorous dreams and seminal emissions. Irresistible urge to masturbate, with melancholia.
Secondary syphilis
Female: Soft, spongy, flabby, atonic, relaxed condition of the pelvic organs and uterus,
Ovaries: Burn, pain, and swell. Burning, distress in r. ovary; soreness of left ovary and of uterus; pains shoot down thighs. Ovarian irritation- congestion (of ovarian vascular system). Ovarian dysmenorrhoea (Zinc-r). Intermittent neuralgia of left ovary.
Uterus: Hypertrophied; prolapse; soft and spongy; subinvolution with great atony ; remains large after miscarriage or confinement. Sub serous or interstial fibroid; cancer.
Expels foreign bodies from uterus (Canth, Pyr, Sec).
Cervix: patulous; spongy, bleeds when touched, tumefied, flabby.
Menses: Vicarious, from bowels and lungs (Bry, Ham, Mill).
Bloody flux, partly fluid and partly clotted; profuse discharge of dark, clotted blood of fetid odour (Sec) and membranes; with paroxysmal pain and congestive tenderness in one or both the ovaries (Crot-h); easy bleeding, even from digital examination; after abortion.
Chronic uterine haemorrhage from passive congestion; slow but persistent oozing of dark, fetid blood highly coagulated, occasionally forming long, black, sticky
clots (Croc, Elap, Plat, Thalaspi ).
Suppression of menses; idiopathic ; irritable and depressed; dry or we cough; pain in left chest; night sweats; loss of appetite; general debility; leucorrhoea; anemia; metrorrhagia.
Pregnancy: Tendency to abortion at the third month; bearing down pains, as if everything would come out. Profuse menses after miscarriage.
Deficient labour pains; os soft, pliable, and dilatable.
Lochia: Very copious; very dark in colour almost black increased as child nurses.
Leucorrhoea: Yellow or brown, foul, bland, acrid, albuminous.
Puerperal peritonitis; after abortion, abdomen tender. tympanitic secretions putrid ; subinvolution delayed ; high fever.
Mammae: Agalactia; chronic inflammation and induration
Respiratory: Pain (aching -distress) under left breast (Cimi) at margin of ribs with bleeding between menses . Pain in left intraclavicular region (Cimi, lach), in morning.
Oppression; ague; oppressed and faint in a warm room (Lach) Incipient phthisis; cough, stitches in left chest, pain in left ovary, night sweats. Suppression of menses plus uneasiness in stomach and legs.
Back and Extremities: Sensation of boiling water along the back (Sulph, zic-m )
Rheumatic lumbago, < by walking; bearing down in sacral region (as in dysmenorrhoea) changing to left ovarian region and gradually extending through to hip.
Intermittent numb-tingling sensation in right arm. Cramp-like stiffness of left leg. Flying rheumatic pains in legs, arms and fingers. Muscular contractions, esp. of lower limbs .Clonic and tonic movements.
Nails; thick; crumble; painful destructive disease. Heart,Aching, burning distress in sternum and under it in the stomach with neuralgic pains. Lt inframammary pains, sudden flying pain from heart to stomach arresting breathing. Palpitation.
Pulse at first-accelerated, then enfeebled.
Skin: Skin dry, clear,white, hot,congestive feeling in (spiran). Copper colored spots on skin, Macula, Secondary syphilis. Eczema,impetigo,psoriasis,sunburn,leprosy, tendency to small boils,itching; nightly.
Urticaria; at climacteric; scratching produces large, pale welts on body.
Thermal: Relapsing agues; very profuse sweats; slight nausea; oppression of chest; cerebral disturbance and great irritability.
Chills running up and down back. Ext.chill and intense heat. Heat at night. During sleep (Sul)
Relations Card, Puls, Ust are mild snakes; of them Puls is a mild Ust.
Ust is left sided, milder Lach
Compare: Sab ( has active congestion and is gouty).
Sec has powerful oxytocic effects, ust has more passive congestion.
Thalspi B P is neuralgic anti-uric acid, menses stain indelible.
