National Homoeopathic Conference,Dhanbad,Apr 1998
NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 1998 May / Jun VOL VII NO 3.

The Institute of Homoeopath Association arranged the National Homoeopathic Seminar at New Town Hall Dhanbad on 18th and 19th April 1998.

Shri Yogeshwar Prasad Yogesh, in his introductory speech, spoke about hypertension and cholesterol control by Homoeopathy. He said that Homoeopathy has an advantage over other pathies in curing man, plants and animals in the safest way. Vice-Chairman of IIHP, Dr S B Singh stressed the need for systematic evaluation and treatment of cases. Dr Lalit Prasad advocated the need for spreading the efficacy of Homoeopathic remedies in the backward and tribal areas for its cost effectiveness. He proposed setting up Homoeopathic centres in the big coal industries like Coal India, Bokaro Steel, BCCL, ECCL, CCL and Tata Coal.

Dr R K Yadav and Dr BK Seth of Kamala Nehru Charity Centre spoke on AIDS. Dr Arjun Pandey, Principal J D M Hom College spoke on mental illness and their Homoeopathic treatment; Dr P C Roy and Dr Keshav Prasad dealt with illnesses arising from Air Pollution and children's diseases. Dr K M Das, Dr Tapan Kumar Banerjee, Dr S K Singh, Dr S K Seth and Dr Arjun Lal presented the research paper on Cancer.

Awards were presented on 19th April to those who have contributed to research and progress of Homoeopathy. The Samuel Hahnemann medal was given to Dr Badal Sarkar. Dr Hering awards to Dr Lalit Prasad and Dr K G Saxena award to Dr Arjun Pandey. Dr Nash award to Dr K M Das. Dr Farrington award to Dr Keshav Prasad. Dr Boericke award to Dr S K Seth. Dr Clarke award to Dr R K Yadav. Dr Baldev Chowdhary award to Dr Tapan Banerjee. Homoeopathic remedies distributor award to Dr S C Datta. Youngest rising Homoeopath to Dr Vir Vikram Seth. Super action award to S B Singh. The delegates were given Dr Sarla Sonawala Memorial Book.

The seminar ended with a vote of thanks by Dr Arjun Pandey.
