Management Of Diabetes-Some Remedies

A proper and balanced diet plays the most important role in the treatment of Diabetes mellitus.
The diet should be aim at:
1] Reduction of wt
2] To provide enough carbohydrates to prevent any acidosis or ketosis
3] Enough to provide enough proteins, vitamins and mineral necessary for the body
Safe Diet:
1] Salad -raw vegetables, clear vegetables soups
2] Vinegar, chutney, achars without oil
3] Black tea, coffee, nimboopani without sugar.
Avoid:
1] Sugar, sweets, icecreams , cakes, pastries, chocolates
2] Potatoes, baeroot, mangoes
Some important Homoeopathic remedies are given.
1] Acid phos: Diabetics of nervous origin, frequent urging to urinate, profuse urination at night. There is extreme emaciation and prostration.
2] Arsenic- alb: Burning and involuntary urination, After urinating feeling of weakness in the abdomen.
Ulcers with offensive discharge
3] Ars-b: It is a great Antispsoric and antisyphilitic remedy. Pts who have suffered with syphilis, herpetic eruptions, glandular tumors, itching over the entire body.
4] Arg-nit: there is extreme emaciation worsening every year. Weakness.
Great desire for sugar and sweets. Sleeplessness.
5] Cephalandra-indica: is also a good remedy for diabetes.
6] Dolichos: Itching without eruptions. Agg at night and itching worse across the shoulders.
7] Helonias: Great thirst, dry lips, emaciation, urine clear, profuse containing sugar. There is numbness of the feet when sitting and burning sensation on the top.
8] Hepar-sulph: Profuse urination at night, profuse sweat. Slightest injury causes suppuration. Oversensitive mentally and physically.
Very sensitive to cold air.
9] Lycopodium: red sand in the urine and there is great falling of hair. Pt is irritable and melancholic, afraid to remain alone, and abdomen is bloated.
10] Medhorrhinum: weak memory, ravenous hunger soon after eating, very much thirsty, intense itching of anus with frequent urging and painful urination.
11] Phos: Useful in a diabetic of tubercular or rheumatic diathesis. there is extreme emaciation dryness of the mouth. , sleepless at night. Profuse perspiration on slightest exertion . Passes urine once or twice in night.
12] Plumbum: urine frequent, albuminous with low specific gravity. Excessive and rapid emaciation, weakness, paralysis of the lower limbs and constipation.
13] Syzgium -jambolatum:
it is a most useful in diabetes melitus. No other remedy causes os marked degree in diminution and disappearance of sugar in the urine. Prickly heat in the upper part of the body and small and red pimples itch violently and great thirst weakness and emaciation high specific gravity.
14] Tarent-h: Copious urine with sugar, diabetes with grief, anxiety, restlessness and weakness with emaciation. He is impulsive, violent and irritable. Consolation causes weeping.
The symptoms of diabetes are almost same in every kind of patient but with the help of these constitutional and peculiar symptoms we can select these medicines and definitely help the patient.
