Homoeopathy In Leprosy
The Society for the Welfare of the Handicapped is doing research on Homoeopathic remedies for leprosy ( leprosy type I and type II). The research, which has been on for 15 years, focuses on Homoeopathic treatment that has fully cured many patient with return of sensation in lesion areas, revival of the original skin colour and growth of hair, and positive AFB becoming negative with no side effects or relapse. The cure was 100 %.

The research has also shown that Homoeopathy cured patients who had undergone MD for a long time (2 years FDT) but were not completely cured - where the sensation in the lesion areas did not return, there were many side effects and a history of relapse.

It was observed that though MDT shows negative AFB soon, the sensation in the lesion area and the original skin colour are not regained. Out trials with Homoeopathic remedies were successful and a sure cure for lepromatous leprosy was found.

Eradication of leprosy by 2000 AD is a define possibility following our method which conforms to WHO's dictum. We think that is high time that we give adequate proof to WHO that Homoeopathy is quite scientific and effective, specially for the poor in India and other Third World counties.
Dr. Dhruba Chakraborty, Durgapur
