Dr Rajan Sankarans "Soul of Remedies"
Aurum-met: It is a syphilitic remedy. One of the heavy metals of 6th period the feeling is that the person takes on tasks which are beyond his capacity and demands of himself industry and responsibility, conscientiousness and duty of highest degree, uncompromising on principles. He almost destroys himself in trying to achieve these goals; getting the feeling of failure, guilt and despair of salvation. His survival depends on these higher responsibilities he has a feeling that he may fall down from the high position.
Highly moralistic, principled and orthodox. Aurum, has the high potency between high morality and extreme guilt and suicidal tendencies.
They are usually relieved by music [esp Bhajan]
SITUATIONAL MM - Aurum may be the eldest child with no father. He takes on responsibility of his family; becomes duty bound and guardian. He becomes concerned about how he appears to himself always checking whether he has done things right. His value system are very strict and impose the same value on others. Dictatorial, and intolerant of contradiction.
Appears very neat and conservatively dressed with a religious mark on his forehead. He is a perfectionist, duty conscious, very trustworthy hardworking and honest.
He often talks and answers in questions. He is easily disappointed with others just as with himself.
Physically Aurum develops hypertension, heart disease, destructive pathologies and cancer.
Argentum-met
Belongs to the second line of metals in the periodic table where it is between copper and gold. Arg-met sees his survival in performance and defence.
Silver is a showy, shining metal, a show piece of human society. There is a strong intellectual component in Arg-met.
He can argue and fight very strongly, not only for himself but also for theirs. He has the ability to convince others and win over the opposition with intellect.
Situational MM
When forced by partners to be a performer, demonstrate his intellect, his skill, there is both anger and fight which gives him anxiety before performance.
They make good public speakers, preachers singers, writers, and novelists. On one hand they have great inclination to talk, he has clarity of thoughts inclined to laughter and loquacity and on the other hand - may be indisposed to talk in society. Arg-met bears a close resemblance to Med [feeling of inner weakness, which he covers up with egotism, both have anticipatory anxiety] Palladium [longing for good opinion of others], Lachesis [speech, communication and egotism] Arg is concentrated in field of intellect.
Lach is jack of all trades.
Palladium: It is placed in the second line of metals, next to Argentum. The remedies in this line are concerned with show. It is a sycotic remedy. The main feeling in Palladium is that if she does not earn, the good opinion of others, she will be neglected and forsaken or insulted on seeing a Palladium patient one is inclined to think what a nice person she is, how good she looks, how nicely she talks, how well she manager. Palladium patient sits with an air of tremendous authority, then appear strong willed but friendly [obstinate, tries to appear amiable]
Platinum:
Platinum is a heavy metal, placed between Iridium and Aurum and below Palladium in the periodic table. It belongs to the syphilitic miasm.
Here the feeling is of being humiliated. The Platinum woman has the feeling of being very small, of having to grow really large in order to survive. Her growth depends on great performance to reach great heights. Ailments from deceived ambitions, Delusion that she is noble.
Aurum is the 'king' while Platinum is the 'queen' - carrying herself regally, everything about her is special, valuable, spiritual, intellectual. Being special, feels isolated and lonely.
Much of the performance and superiority in Platinum has to do with the attractiveness of the male. So she has the fear that something will happen to her husband or that he will neglect her.
She can become contemptuous and casts off people with extremes of behaviour. They are very ambitious, and failure to achieve their goal can make them suicidal.
The situation of Platinum is one of a woman who is not being given due respect is scorned, criticized. Her survival depends on saying - I don't care what they think of me, they are born low and I am born high.
