The society has successfully organized seven National Homoeopathic conferences in different states for dissemination of various Research achievements. It provides a platform for interaction with Homoeopathic fraternity through involvement of experts, scientists and technocrats who concentrate on various critical issues pertaining to the Homeopathic perspective.
The 8th National Homoeo Conference '98 was held in Lucknow. Prof Ojha felicitated Dr S K Dubey for his tremendous contribution to the cause of Homoeopathy and conferred on him the most prestigious Dr Hahnemann Memorial National Award 1998.
During the inaugural session the chairman of the society Dr C P Singh emphasized the need for budgetary support to upgrade Homoeopathic medical colleges and research institutes.Dr Anirudh Verma emphasized immediate implementation of Drug Act for effective quality control of Homoeo medicines thereby stopping sale of sub standard Homoeo medicines. For this a state level Hom Pharmacy council has to be established. Homoeopathic teachers and medical officers also should be given equal status and involved in various national health programmes. their pay scales and other facilities should also be on par with the central and state govt rules.
Dr S P S Bakshi and Dr G B Singh CCH dwelt on improving the infrastructure, staffing pattern and curriculum as per CCH norms.
Papers:
1. Dr Purnima Shukla of Gorakhpur:
Uterine Hemorrhage and prognosis with Homoeopathic drugs. Cited cured cases.
2. Homeopathy in acute emergencies: Dr S Haque of Bihar discussed his latest experiences for curing Heart attack, angina and Neuralgia, using drugs like Xanthoxylum and Viburnum-op for immediate relief.
3. Dr R K Kapoor of Allahabad emphasized the role of Hom in certain surgical cases.
Day 2:
1. Recent Advances in Homoeo Research involving multidisciplinary approach. This session was dedicated to Late [Smt] Bala Devi Rastogi, w/0 Dr D P Rastogi, Director CCRH. Dr Rastogi highlighted the recent advances made by various research institutes under the auspices of CCRH which were mainly focussed on AIDS, Diabetes Mellitus, Anti tetanus activities, Malarial, Arthritis and various other chronic problems. 5. Dr Sunil Kumar spoke on Biological hormonal profile and pancreatic beta cell regeneration by potentised dilutions of Alloxan for evaluating anti diabetic action in experimental models.
6 Dr Vikram Singh delivered a lecture on research findings on AIDS and its treatment.
Panel Discussion: Homoeopathy vs modern nomenclature with specific reference to AIDS and Cancer. Dr N D Sindhi chaired the session. Dr KPS Dhama, Hon Hom physician to President of India, was moderator and Dr D P Rastogi, Dr R Dubey, Dr I A Maisi and Dr Naresh Arora participated in the panel discussion. All the members of the panel were of the view that during the selection of the medicines we should consider the pathological investigations and etiological factors for elucidating the diseased conditions and accordingly we should adhere to the principles of Hahnemannian philosophy.
In the last open session, Dr C V Pandey of Lucknow presented a scientific paper for treatment of eczema behind the ear by Graphites and for the treatment of Leucopakia by Acid- nitricum.
Dr Sushil Vats presented his paper for awareness in Homoeopathy. Dr Sanjeev Gupta highlighted his experiences in the treatment of stone in gall bladder. Dr R K Sharma of Moradabad discussed his experiences in the treatment of blood cancer.
