Letters to the Editor
NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 1998 May / Jun VOL VII NO 4.
There was an article in the paper today about a soccer player who, for treatment of severe cramps in his legs, takes injections of calf blood in his legs and back for it. Says it works wonders and that it is the cow protein that does the trick.
This treatment is done in Germany. The physician says he began using it 22 years ago and mixes the calf blood with Homoeopathic medicines. Said that it was developed about 45 years ago for older people.
Does anyone know about this? It sounds weird to me but anything is possible.

A small article the "Isopathy" in the garden by Taylor in the NJH 7[1] Jan Feb 1998 Pg35 is very exciting. The questions arising form this article are-
A] Can we use blender for potentization of Homoeo drugs and replace the traditional method.
B] The author has also mentioned about the fungus in his article. Does preparation of Isopathy spray kills the fungus? If not, then how the cure takes place and why is not there a spread of infection by such spray?
C] In all the patients we can assume some biochemical lesions which may or may not be detectable by our laboratory tests. Then why not give isopathic medicine made from his blood in every patient?

Thank you for forwarding Dr V K Jain's question about the article Isopathy. Please remember I am NOT a doctor.
Ans 1) I used a blender to prepare a tincture from the disease plant in a desperate experiment to keep chemicals off our home site.
a] would it work and b] how careless could one be and still get observable healing? A fresh blended tincture was a good substitute for not being to repeat the fact dose of the first application.
Ans 2) Dr Jain asks how an isopathic preparation of potentized fungus from infected plants could cure and not spread the fungus. I do not know. Like cures like or in isopathy: same cures same.
Ans 3) For his final question I went to members of National Center of Hom Study Group that I belong to, for help in answering this question. Our NCH regional director, Peggy remembered having a conversation with a medical doctor many years ago. He was using patients' potentized blood in their treatment but she does not remember the name of the doctor. Urine therapy came to my mind and Karen Thompson led me to books dealing with urine 6x homeopathic. Karen Husby Coupland took the question to the internet and to date has received only one response. In Germany calf blood is injected ie for a soccer player's leg cramps.
May I bring your attention to Homoeopathy Today journal Dec 1997, Vol 17, No: 11, page 1, A report on the International Hom Research conference in urban Italy Sept 25-28 1997. Two different research groups reported nature work results and potentizing plain water was discussed.
We/I hope to have been of some help.

Dr Harimohan writes "I want to place few comments regarding published articles"[The Editors of NJH have tried to reply all queries or difficulties.]
1] Jan-Feb '98 issue contents [see article on pg no 26 by Dr Parinaz Humranwala] one case prognosis upto dated 20/2/98. Whereas; you published last date of receiving articles 5/2/98. For Jan-Feb '98 issue how issue editor in-charge Dr Nina Doshi approved?
The last date mentioned is 5/2/98, good articles are also taken beyond that date if the compilation and printing has overstepped the deadline on which it was to be closed. A lot of factors are involved in bringing out an issue on time: postal delays [ an article pertaining to the issue reaches after the closing date] computer breakdowns, printer's delays etc. Cases pertaining to the tonic are most sought after and thus can get included even at the last moment.
2] 'Play desires to at night' SR 769 -Medo 200 prescribed by Dr Niranjan Rangoonwala [Pg no24]. Sleeplessness after 2 or 4 am and till then he wanted to play. For this I know Cypripedium only. And cured so many cases. In future I will try "Medo"
3] Many authors use so many types of general abbreviation - SCR [PM 17] MGFa - DM, IHD, 3FTND, 20 IMTD [PN 32] etc.
SCR -Standardized case record. It is a printed case recording book of 100 pgs developed by Dr Dhawale ML and used at the Institute of Clinical Research, Mumbai, & its alumni.
-IHD- Ischemic heart disease
-Dioscorea VI - Six powders/ sachets of the same potency given frequently
-TID: Three times a day.
-3FTND: 3 Full term Normal delivery
4] [On pg no 27] Phos 1M was given in infrequent dose. Is it a classical prescription? Yes.
-[July - Aug '97 issue] Pg no 235 - Lachesis 1000 daily one dose for 3 days. But in Boericke MM- never use Lachesis repeated dose" What should I do?
A] According to author's experience: 3 were given but with instructions to stop when better. Ie if no change takes the second dose, if change-better or worse-then stop.
5] Hom is itself a classical. But few top Homeopathic physicians stress upon 'classical'
Not a single physician on this earth- claimed that they never used two or 3 medicines at a time, but in conferences & seminars- they expressed classical Hom is it not?
A] Yes, maybe true but that does not made it right/correct Homoeopathy. Whenever the remedy is the absolute similium, just one dose is enough.
5] Pg no 30, case 5- author used 2 repertories in single case. How is it possible? Please explain it.
A] We need to explore from all repertories.
6] PGNAHI - It is a post graduate degree? From where?
A] It is a course conducted by Dr Kasim Chimthanawala at Nagpur National Academy of Homoeopathy
7] In general section [pg 16] Jan-Feb '98 one interesting embryonic stage diagram related with Hom medicine is published. I want to know source [any from ancient books?] and know how of applying medicine?
A] Just use this. Source was missed out.
I have decided to approach the Bombay Polio center to conduct a six month experiment on these lines" expressed by you in NJH Vol II no 1 1993.
"Hom can cure polio by Dr Vijay deep Waghanna of Solapur 413007] I want to know the trial reports.
A] Not received report from Wagghana after treatment. Approach him directly..
