An important feature of herbal medicines is that the remedies used comprise the whole bio-genetically produced complex in the plant. It assists the recuperative processes leading to homoeostasis in the body. The theory of 'backing up' of body's own regenerative power, is fast gaining ground so as to fight viruses effectively.

A list of herbal medicines with their action and uses is tabulated with various quotes about their efficacy. The value of Echinacea angusti folia and Purpura All. sativum is comparable to Polycrests of Homoeopathy, Hypericum, Mangufera indica, cochlearia-amoracea, Opium (for its effect of lack of vital reaction). Berb-vul, Phytolacca, Juglans-regia [walrus] are outlined.
The other seldom known causes and action of these remedies will interest the Homoeopathic fraternity.
