We face several types of toothaches in our practice. Pains originating in teeth may radiate to the lower jaw, the upper jaw, the eyes, the ears and the facial bones. Dr Hering says in the Homoeopathic Domestic Physician that barring a few cases of certain diseases like dental fistula, suppuration at the root of teeth etc where extraction of teeth may be necessary, most of these diseases and toothaches can be cured, generally instantly, by infinitestimal does of the indicated Homoeopathic remedies.
There are numerous remedies for toothache in our Materia Medica which are given here under with their indications.
Teeth sensitive to touch, pressure or while chewing-painful jerk in teeth each time he drinks cold water Agaricus.
Shooting from right lower teeth upto right side of head Agaricus
Picking or sucking together sends a shock through head, ears and nose Ammon-carb.
Violent toothache, evenings, immediately on going to bed Ammon-carb
