Dental Cases and Constitutional Relationship

Editor : Through the following 3 cases the author has demonstrated how dental problems have been managed with constitutional remedies or the relationship of remedies. If is found that the remedy which relieves the patient's dental symptoms often curses the patient's general condition as well.
CASE 1
Mrs SM 60 yrs, Housewife. Takes homoeopathic treatment off and on for last 32 yrs. Patient was born a blue baby with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) which was corrected by open heart surgery when she was 20 yrs old. Massive doses of antibiotics were given for a long time. Scar thickened, turning into keloid. Has a big black mole over one eye.
She has an elder and a younger brother. Due to ASD she would easily turn cyanosed on crying, or slightest excitement; therefore was given extra care and pampered by parents. Even after surgery frequent colds and coughs continued. She would always get up with runny nose and rattling cough. Cold would increase as the day advanced and lessen after 11 am.
Aggravation from cold food, cold weather, getting wet, slightest change in weather, taking bath at night etc. Would get fatigued easily, with breathlessness and oppression of chest form slightest physical exertion or climbing stairs or walking fast.
Craves sweets3, warm food and drinks, salads and soups.
An Arts graduate, she got married at 27 yrs. Thereafter homeopathic treatment given for colds and weakness. Right from the first day of marriage she did not want to take any responsibility of the house. Haughty, dominating, hysterical, impulsive with violent anger. Could threaten to commit suicide or even threaten to kill her husband in the middle of night and complain of her skin which had only one hypopigmented spot left uncured. Would injure her gums, tear her lips and run down the house just to create an impression that she is harassed by the family. Would like and manipulate maters in such a way that husband takes her side. This would create quarrels in the joint family. Very critical and fault finding. Highly suspicious and jealous. Would run away for whole day if her husband is not well. Will do whatever comes to her mind but would expect others to follow rules and regulations.
Blames others for her mistakes. During first pregnancy quarreled a lot with her husband, often would run away and stay for one night with friends or at night walk out of the house and her family would go looking for her. Once she hid herself in the next building and watched whether the family was looking for her. (This shows her cruelty). Enjoys putting others in trouble. Quarrelsome. Her nostrils would flare in anger.
Has two daughters. She lost the second child, a son, an anencephalic monster. She had tried to abort by taking hormone injections which she never told anyone in the family.
Even when her daughters would fall ill, she will remain out of the house, only to return at night shouting and blaming the family for her daughters' illness. Ultimately after 10 yrs of marriage she succeeded in separating from the joint family.
She has tendency to suppuration from injury. Always suffers from fungus infection of nails. Suffered from otorrhoea.
Had developed prolapse of uterus, which was better with Homoeopathic medicines. Also suffered offensive leucorrhoea, which one could smell from afar.
She was given mainly Ars-alb, Hep-sulph, Silicea, Lyc, Naja, Syphillinum, Merc, Sep etc for her physical complaints.
Her tendency to cold and cough is almost cured. Rarely gets mild attacks. Her physical stamina has gone up like a normal young person, even today can eat any kind of food, takes bath thrice a day. Factors which earlier on increased her troubles have ceased to affect her now.
On 1/3/96 she came with following complaints:
Gums detached from teeth forming pockets. Food particles could not be cleaned easily. As a result recurrent infection, bad breath and ultimately pus pockets formed her lower teeth.
Shown to dentist who advised "flap surgery in parts" which could be completed in 2-3 months time; total cost being about Rs 13,000/- but patient decided to take Homoeopathy:
On Working :
- Gums bleeding
- Gums detached form teeth
- Gums bleed on cleaning
- Tongue indented
- Burning in urethra after urination.
