The Seminar Derma '97 was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr Lalitha Kameshwaran, member Tamilnadu State Planning Commission, former Vice-chancellor, Dr MG R Medical University. She compared Homoeopathy with all other systems of medicines and said no system is inferior, every system has got its own advantages. And she appreciated the advantages of Homoeopathy.

The first scientific session started at 9.30 am under the Chairmanship of Dr B D Patel, former Principal of Govt. Homoeopathic college, Bangalore. Dr Suganthi from Erode presented a paper on allergic Rhinitis and case of Dermorgraphism, cured with Platina 1M. chosen only on mental picture not considering any of the clinical signs and symptoms. The Session concluded with a detailed approach in taking allergic disorders by Dr B D Patel.

Session on Psoriasis was presented by Dr Ismail Sait, Professor of Trivandrum college, Dr Saraswathy, presented a few cases of acute prescription for psoriasis. Dr Hasan spoke on psoriasis proper and Chaiman Dr Ismail Sait, presented a few cases treated constitutionally. Third session on Pigmentary disorders ways by Dr Mohammed Aelem, from Madras and Dr R Gnanasambandam presented several cases of Leucoderma and Vitiligo treated with mostly Ars-alb and few cases of lip Vitiligo with Merc-sol, Borax. Dr Aleem spoke on Vitiligo - general aspects.

Fourth session was on infection, chaired by Dr V C Vydhialingam form Thirumangalam College. Dr Balaji presented slides of all the infections of the skin. Dr Kamal Nazar presented few cases of skin infections treated on mental symptoms. Dr V C Vydhialingam discussed on various topics. He insisted on constitutional approach in skin disorders.

The fifth session was chaired by Dr Velayutham from Erode. Chairman of the seminar in which Dr N Subramanian from Salem presented a beautiful paper on Neoplasm. He discussed that neoplasm to which Homoeopathy has got an answer from corns to cancer. He showed some cases of papilloma refered by Apollo Hospital and KKR research institute which he cured totally. He also cured several cases of Papilloma throat with Thuja.

The last session was cosmetology. Chairman being Mrs Vasundra. Dr P Mukunthan and Dr M Ranjini from Erode presented several cases of Acne vulgaris, Blemishes and Alopecia being treated with Homoeopathy, which the cosmetologist appreciated very well. Life's sonly lasting joy comes in erasing the boundary line between "mine" and "yours"
