ADVICE FROM OUR MASTERS.
Ferr-met is a real specific for simple, uncomplicated chlorosis - Dr Boehr.
Ferr-met 30 for vomiting after Tonsillectomy. A dose of 30 given after each vomit
usually causes rapid improvement.
- Dr Foubister.
For post-operative vomiting induced by and only occuring after eating - Ferr-met 30.
- Dr Wilbur K Bond.
If Bell fails in typical headache, think of Ferr-met.
- Dr Wilbur K Bond.
Ferr. acts best in young persons, male or female, who are subject to irregular distribution of blood. The cheeks are flushed bright red, giving them an appearance of blooming health; and yet this is a masked plethora.
Among the evidence of this irregular distribution of blood, we have the following
symptoms : Violent hammering headache, which is usually periodical in its return and worse
after midnight, nose-bleed with bright red flushing of the cheeks.
- E A Farrington.
Ferrum patients always complain of vertigo or dizziness which is worse they arise, rise
suddenly from a lying to a sitting posture, walking over a bridge or by seeing running
water; riding in a car or carriage also causes this vertigo.
- E A Farrington.
Ferrum met : pains and sufferings come on during rest. Rapid motion aggravates the
complaints but moving about slowly ameliorates all complaints.
- Kent.
Rheumatic pains in the deltoid muscles of either side. Violent pain in the muscles and
along the nerves indicate Ferrum. The Ferrum pains come on in the night, because the
patient attempts to keep still in bed. Rest brings on the Ferrum pains; amelioration by
moving gently.
- Kent.
Ferrum met. A few weeks after becoming pregnant the woman commences to throw up her food by the mouthful. There is no nausea, but the face is flushed and woman flabby and weak. She vomits food without becoming sick.
Ferrum is an unusually interesting remedy because of this peculiar stomach. It is like
a leather bag, it will not digest anything.
- Kent.
With purplish appearance of the body, cold sweat all over, if there are remittent or
intermittent chills, with thirst during the chill, and at no other time, and the face is
red during chill, give Ferrum as no other remedy looks just like that.
- Kent.
Avoid Ferrum in T.B. Syphilis and in persons predisposed to Haemorrhages and especially
never repeat it.
- Kent.
Ferrum is an old syphilitic is apt to render ulcers phagdenic.
- Kent.
Ferrum phos is called for in cholera infantum when the discharges from the bowels are
frequent; within 24 hours the chill is greatly reduced and falls into a stupor, with red
face, dilated pupils, rolling of the head and soft, full-flowing pulse.
-Dr E A Farrington.
For many years, it has been my custom to think of Ferr-phos first at the beginning of
an otitis and at the beginning of mastoiditis. I am satisfied that Ferr-phos covers many
more cases of mastoiditis than Capsicum ever did- Mastoiditis comes on in that sluggish
slow way which fits Ferr-phos very well indeed and this remedy must be thought of all the
time.
-Dr Boger.
Ferr-phos Susceptibility to chest troubles, bronchitis of young children. In acute exacerbation of tuberculosis, a fine palliative of wonderful power corresponds to Gravogls oxygenoid constitution, the inflammatory, febrile, emaciating, wasting consumptive.
Respiratory: First stage of inflammatory affections, Congestion of lungs, short painful
tickling cough. Hard dry cough with sore chest. Expectoration of pure blood in pneumonia.
- Boericke.
Dr Boger gave Ferr-Phos a very wide territory to take in all middle ear conditions as
well as mastoid. He figured that as the greatest remedy for this combination and it was
always given in DMM potency.
- Dr R E S Hayes.
Ferrum-picricum specially indicated for warts on the hand, when they are multiple
warts, especially old pedunculated warts which frequently accompany chronic deafness.
- Dr Cooper.
Dr Mende considers Fer-Pic almost a specific in nose-bleed. It has a specific action on
the prostate gland. Dudley Wright has confirmed Coopers observation here; it will control
senile hypertrophy; Aggr from fatigue is a leading indication; overpowering effects of
fatigue.
- Boericke.
Fer-pic : Pain along entire urethra. Frequent micturition at night, with full feeling
and pressure in rectum. Smarting at neck of bladder and penis. Retention of urine.
- Boericke.
Deafness before menses. Crackling in ears and low pitched voice. Vascular deafness
Tinnitus.
- Boericke.
Ferrum-arsenicum It is most often required in the treatment of chronic intermittent fever, with liver and spleen enlarged and highly anaemic. Many such cases, come from the working class from the malarial districts. These cases, when they come in for Homoeopathic treatment, are already heavily drugged with quinine by the orthodox school.
These cases present a picture with enlarged liver and spleen, with lienteric stools, want of appetite and vomiting of undigested food.
Ferrum-arsenicum in 3 X trit frequent doses, effects a marvellous cure in such cases.
The problems created by the abuse of quinine are also removed by the drug.
Even in other severe anaemic cases as well, Ferr-ars 3 X has been seen to give marvellous results. (My own clinical experience confirms the above.).
