CASES MATERIA MEDICA GENERAL ARTICLES ABSTRACT MISCELLANEOUS Q & A

Essence of Ferrum-Met
NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 1996 Sep / Oct Vol V No 5.
Rajan Sankaran.
Materia Medica.
` Ferr

The proving of Ferrum-met 30 showed one set of symptoms of rudeness, stubbornness, positiveness, disposition to contradict, going against parents. On the other hand they have anxiety of conscience. So Ferrum situation is one where parents are forcing the child into what he does not want to do. So ailments occur from anger and scorn. In India, the main situation with the parents forcing something upon the child is marriage.

Dreams of Ferrum is of battles, of dead friends and dead relatives,of falling into water, of fights,of seeing the old school again, unpleasant dreams of war, water.

So the main theme is battle, fight.

Phataks Materia medica gives the symptom "always in the right".

So the Ferrum situation is one which requires both performance and defence against somebody forcing him to do something against his will. Therefore they become very strong willed, very rigid in their attitude. They cannot take any contradiction. Ferrum can have allergy to many substances - he is excitable and sensitive.

Iron is used in making and fences. Iron reminds one of a jail with bars, of a helmet or a battle tank, an armour or a shield - they are protective. They prevent outside things from coming into your territory. They perform and defend themselves and their families.
