Mrs X, 27 years, Female, married in 1984.
Occupation : housewife.
Date : 2-5-90.
Chief Complaint :.
- Obesity after second delivery wt- 70kgs / ht 5.2.
- GUT - 1 Menses irregular after second delivery.

1st delivery - 1985 July FTND.
1st delivery _ BP high in last 3 months.
2nd delivery - 1987 FTND, Bp normal.
2. Acute backache localized < exertion.
< getting up.
< pressure.
Patient as a person.
Pt. stocky, skin-dry, black discolouration in elbows and
knuckles.
Appetite,less no desire to eat.
Cr: spicy food. thirst - N.
Stool - N Urine - N.
Sleep - sleepless till late night anxiety and palpitation.
Dreams - nightmares.
Thermal modality :.
Very sensitive,but likes cold.
Sun < headache.
bath - warm.
cold drinks < throat.
Mentals : Anticipatory anxiety +++++.
Aversion to talk, gets irritated and excited very easily.
Feels like weeping but does not weep.
Aversion to sex. Get irritated,excited, and flushed during
coition.
Easy vomiting whenever anxious.
Palms - square, finger spindle shaped.
Black discolouration of knuckles,shin hard.
B.P. - 130/80 P - 80/min.
2-5-90 Ferrum met 1 m Tds 3 days.
29-5-90. sleep/>improved.
vomiting - nil palpitation - nil.
Menses - 22nd May S.Q. WT :69 KGS...... placebo.
14-6-90 sleep better.
backache - S Q ...... placebo.
21-6-90 backache > sleep > wt:70 kgs... placebo.
Life Situation :.
Pt. was born in Bombay in 1963 in Gujarati Jain upper middle class family. Father dealing in iron. Mother is a housewife. She has 2 brothers 32 and 30 years, both married and in business with father. Till date all were in joint family. She is the only daughter of the parents, studied upto S.Y.J.C. Very well brought up in a loving environment. Parents always gave her whatever she wanted and never deprived her of anything which she desired. However this did not make her arrogant. She was an average student and like any other girl in a joint family, brought up without any special aim in life. During her college days she came in contact with a Gujarati boy but of a different sub-caste and fell in love with him.
He was also from the upper middle class family having jewellery business. He was the only son of the family and had 3 sisters all younger to him but now all married.
Before married he used to inquire about their customs of give and take in marriage. She could not understand what made him question these. She now feels that it was a calculated move on his part, since she was the only daughter. Her parents agreed to the marriage, but his parents were against it. But inspite of all this they got married against the wishes of the boys parents and having a registered marriage by running away from home.
After marriage, boys parents did accept her but her mother-in-laws expectations were high for dowry. She was subjected to taunts by her. Quarrels of M.I.L. and D.I.L. reached her husbands ears,leading to physical torture by husband. The whole thing came to a climax when she was delivered the first child and came home. She ran away to her fathers house when the M.I.L. took up the issue of the monetary customs and quarelled. Everyday she dreaded the quarrels and violence.
Initially, she kept her emotions under control but later on she too gave back. in 1989 she came to know about her husbands infidelity and was shell shocked. Her son, who although very small yet behaves very rudely and arrogantly which also adds to her problems.
Patients father advised her to go in for divorce, but she fears society and insecurity. Moreover pt. feels the interference of her parents is one of the reasons of her husbands misbehaviour with her and therefore feels like breaking off all relationship with them. She is now confused, anxious and totally indecisive about her life and her future. She is worried about her 2 children and at the same time, she feels she would not like to stay with the inlaws.
NOTE : Patient in all the previous interviews did not give any impression about inlaws and husband. Infact she always gave an impression that her parents are responsible for all her problems. Her friend who brought her gave some idea about her inlaws and husband, on the basis of which the interview was carried out and the true picture was brought out.

Case 2 :
Master D : 1 year old male child.
This child is taking Homoeopathic medicine for frequent coughs and colds. The constitutional drug worked out to Phosphorus, the last dose of Phosphorus 1M was given on 28-7-92.
The child was bought on 4th Aug 1992 with the following complaints.
Sudden 4-5 loose motions during the day. Watery loose whitish greenish stools with slight foam and offensive smell. Child passes noisy but odourless flatus during stool and dose not cry or strain for stool. No fever. Aggravated after drinking milk or eating any food. Child very active inspite of the above condition. he has no thirst, no nausea or vomiting. Appetite is reduced. His general condition is good.
On/E Abd. distended but no tenderness. chest -NAD. Tongue slightly white coated. dry + child active.
No fever.
Rx Acid-phos 1 M 3 doses SOS.
5-8-92 : Loose motions 4-5 times in 24 hours quantity reduced but passed blood. No pain, no fever. active. gases ++ nonoffensive smell, coloured stools.
Appetite, thirst better.
Pers. +++ cries in morning on waking. Rx SL.
6-8-92 : Stool 3-4 times semisolid invol. on waking, smell N. yellowish, child wakes up crying. Appetite better. Active. feels hot, wants fan ++ persp ++.
Rx. Sulph 1 M 1 dose.
7-8-92 : Stool once only. Appetite increased, general improvement.
Same child was brought with low grade fever on 14th Aug 1992 : No cold or cough but very irritable and cranky. had cried whole night which made the whole face congested. Did not like to being looked at or being touched. Wanted to be carried and did not want fan.
NO Thirst. Stool N appetite reduced.
On/E - child cried incessantly, not allowing to examine. Face flushed tongue reddish. Fever 100 degrees, chest N AD - abdomen NA.
Rx. Ferrum Met- 1 M - SOS 4 doses.
16-8-92 : No fever.
cold apple better - SL.
Case 3 :
Mrs S, 42 years, Married since 20 years.
Husband 45 businessman.
Occupation : Beautician.
One son 14 years.
One daughter 18 years.
Patient is taking treatment for her hypertension and menopausal syndrome since 3 months.
Constitutional remedy Nat m.
On 5th Sept. she savoured highly rich food with ice creams. Suddenly in morn of 6th Sept, developed chill for 1/2 hr, followed by high fever 102 degrees F. She had headache along with fever, which was < coughing < talking noise > pressure patient desired covering upto neck, had continuous nausea and vomiting with fever. Brought out the undigested foods patients was thirstless through out. She had hot flushes and ears were red. When she was seen at her home she was very weak lying with her head tied and covered up to neck but wanting a slow fan.
Her head pain was < by talking. She was very irritable when anybody talked to her or made least noise. She also had pain in throat while swallowing.
O/E Throat - congested.
Tongue dirty white coated.
Pulse: 110/min Weak Temp = 100.5 degree-F.
Rx. Ferrum-met. 1M 4 hrly. SOS.
7th Sept. slept very well.
Fever in morning was 100 degree F which persisted upto 3 p.m. and remained at 99 degrees F. Thirst improved No nausea, no vomit. Weakness persisted. App. not much; tongue coating reduced.
8th Sept: No fever.app. normal.
Patient developed profuse menses.
Further treatment is based on general totality.
