IIHP Ranchi
The IIHP Ranchi District branch celebrated the 241st birth anniversary of Dr. Hahnemann on 14th April 96 (instead of 10th) at Hotel Sartaj, Main Road, Ranchi.
Dr. S K Dutta, Secretary of the Branch. Prof S S Agarwal, the Principal of Ram Manohar Lohia College, Dr P K Srivastava, President, IIHP. District Branch, Dr. R P Yadav, Incharge of Research Unit, CCRH Ranchi was also present.
The Chief Guest, Mr. D S Mukhopadhyay, Regional Development Commissioner gave statistical figures in regard to public health, availability of hospitals, Doctors, Government aids etc which were too low in comparison to other states in India, thus emphasizing the importance of developing Homoeopathy in the state.
Dr. S B Singh, National Vice President of IIHP while giving his Presidential address expressed his deep concern about the use of more than one medicine and mixture medicines to patients at a time instead of prescribing a single remedy on the law of similimum. He strongly condemned this practice and said that this is misuse of Homoeopathic Medicines. He further added that if we do not follow the principles laid down by the Great Master and Dr. Kent, Homoeopathy may be wiped out as in USA . To save Homoeopathy we should treat the patient constitutionally on the law of similars.
The IIHP Ranchi District branch has started conferring Hahnemann Award to Homoeopath who has rendered outstanding in the field of Homoeopathy. This year it was pothomously granted to Dr. R Prasad a renowned Homoeopath of Ranchi and was accepted by his son.
Dr. P C Ram, Convenor of the celebration committee conveyed his sincere thanks to the dignitaries. The function ended with light refreshment to the participants.
