Impotency Some Remedies

Tragic is the condition of impotent man who fails at sex.
His disease is called IMPOTENCY.
Impotency the term, denotes loss of power of sex.
Whatever may be the cause, the derangement, like any other
diseases, is revealed through physical and mental symptoms which guides to the perfect
simillimum or remedy as per the cause, heredity and modalities.
Some general remedies for and cases of impotency are being discussed below with prominent symptoms of body and mind.
Agnus-castus:
A young person looks prematurely old from the abuse of sex. Despairing sadness, low spirited. Great sadness with a fixed idea of approaching death (this symptom is not found in any other sexual remedy). Abhorrence of self because he could not satisfy his wife. Sometimes, he feels like cutting away his inactive penis. The penis become emaciated and small like that of a child. Sometimes he suspects his wife. He feels his unsatisfied wife would seek sexual satisfaction from elsewhere.
I cured a fairly unhealthy young man, who had masturbated for a long time. His penis had become very small and bent to one side. He was totally depressed. He had no feeling or desire even on seeing the nude body of his wife. I selected Agnus-castus as his remedy on the symptom of profound sadness and hopelessness. He was fully cured in four to five months. Today he works in a bank and is the happy father of three children.
I also cured a lady, who lost all sex desire and showed full abhorrence to the act of coition with the same remedy.
Nuphar-luteum:
Another peculiar remedy for impotency due to sexual debility in Nuphar-luteum.
The peculiar symptom of the remedy is lancinating pains in the testicle; pains at base of the penis. Other symptoms: entire absence of erection and desire. The patient has voluptuous ideas which fill the imagination but do not cause erection. Penis retracted, scrotum relaxed, involuntary loss of semen during sleep. On the mental side, the patient does not suffer from any hopelessness, but he feels acute pain on seeing suffering of animals. In my early days when I was a visiting physician of King and Company, Calcutta, an influential person of a far away district came with a complaint of impotency and automatic discharge of semen while walking on the street. I cured him within two months with Nuphar-luteum.
Onosmodium:
A remedy for impotency for loss of concentration of mind and not for actual want of sex power.
This patient is to be carefully distinguished from those of actual impotency. The patient is tired and numb.
The general symptoms are loss of desire, deficient erection (for not retaining mind on sex act), speedy emission.
Not only the male but the female also lose their sex desire from lack of concentration.
Anacardium:
Impotency caused by continuous sexual emission consciously or unconsciously.
Accompanying physical symptoms are--voluptuous itching and a sensation of plug in various parts like eyes, rectum and bladder. The patient is averse to coition, as he gets no enjoyment during coition. Voluptuous itching in the scrotum. The penis erects without any excitation.
The mind symptoms are characteristic--frequently screams loudly as if he is calling some one (who is invisible). Changeable. Says "yes" later he says "no". Loss of memory.
I cured a young Telecommunication engineer on his only symptom of vanishing of sense. One moment he sees a fine flowering tree in his front, but the next moment the tree vanishes from his sight. I could gather from queries that he continued masturbation for
years, but he does not mind it, as he feels erection of penis without excitement. The patient was cured by Anacardium in ascending potencies.
Another case of a young boy came to my notice where the boy frequently was called by an unseen person with a loud cry and tried to have sexual contact with the females in his family forcibly. An uncommon symptom in an Anacardium patient. But I could not treat him for he was hospitalized and isolated by his terrified family.
Caladium-seguinum:
Caladium is an important remedy in impotency caused as a result of masturbation.
The particular indicating symptom is a flabby glans and penis. Even the prepuce if drawn back remains so, from loss of contractility. Relaxation of penis during coition, but painful erection without desire in the morning, imperfect erection and premature ejection of semen. Sweat which attracts flies is a peculiar feature of the remedy. Dread from motion is also an indicating symptom.
Lycopodium
The patient has immoderate excitement for aberrations of sexual desire. The patient cannot concentrate his mind on sexual act, for which the sexual desire is impeded to cause ready erection but the erected penis slackens during coition. Sometimes, the patient falls asleep during the sex act. Cure becomes impossible in case where the female partner abuses the patient as worthless and impotent. As a result the patient loses all his confidence. He subsequently is afraid of failure whenever the sex act is initiated. The fear is so deeply ingrained that it can only be overcome by gentle caring of a woman. (vide editorial).
I treated a case of a an assistant film director, who was always busy thinking about the next film shot and never thought of marriage. Later when he was married, his wife expressed dislike from him and did not want sex with him. She charged him as a worthless partner having no manly vigour. Since then, the patient lost all his mental energy to work in the film and become deeply depressed. The situation become worse, when his calculative wife threw him and his ailing mother out of their own house. He took up a house on rent and looked after his ailing mother.
A young lady who was his neighbour was sympathetic to the sober looking helpless man and his ailing mother. She came to look after the invalid mother and her son. A healthy relationship developed between the lady and the patient. Gradually the mentally broken down patient confided in her and told his life story. The young lady brought the person to me for treatment. I explained to her that the patient was not impotent but the loss of vigour had developed due to rejection and fear.
I gave him Lycopodium in high potency and with the support of the lady helped him to perform normal sexual act. Ultimately the lady married him and he got a new life with a dose of Caladium.
Argentum-nitricum:
The remedy prepared from silver nitrate is an important means of cure of a peculiar nature, where the penis becomes erect as usual, but it fails to hold when coition is attempted. I treated a young man with a similar complaint. The patient felt laudable improvement, but it ceased to continue as soon as he took sugar or sweets.
Titanium:
The remedy is used in similar complaints of too early ejaculation of semen in coition.
Avena-sativa and Turnera (Damian):
These remedies are commonly used as specifics for impotency. But they are not useful for a lasting improvement where different kinds of organic defects exist. They are used in massive doses in mother tincture for debility from nervous prostration. Selenium and Carbo-veg are also given for debility and prostration after serious diseases. Selenium can be used for elderly persons who have increasing desire with decreasing ability. The person also suffers from relation of penis when coition is attempted (like "Argentum-nitricum").
In conclusion I must warn the enthusiastic new physician that injudicious use of Medorrhinum may bring impotency in some cases.
