April Hahnemann Day at Lucknow

The Research Society of Homoeopathy celebrated Dr Samuel Hahnemanns birth anniversary on Sunday April 14, 1996 at NBRI Auditorium, Lucknow under the Chairmanship of Dr N D Sindhi. Shri Ramesh Yadav, IAS Secretary, Medical Education, Govt of Uttar Pradesh was the chief guest. In his address he said that the WHO slogan--" Health For All By 2000 AD" can only be obtained by promoting simple, economical and easily available system of Homoeopathy. But he emphasised the need for a more scientific explanation of Homoeopathy.

Dr C P Singh, appealed to the Government to fulfil the prescribed quota of faculty in Homoeopathic Medical Colleges, and start research and post graduate courses in at least one college in the state.

Dr Anirudh Verma, Member Central Council of Homoeopathy, Govt of India, said that although fifteen percent of the total patients in the country are being treated through Homoeopathy, only a meagre two percent budget is allocated for this system, which should be enhanced to at least fifteen per cent.

In the scientific session on the subject of "Female disorders and their Homoeopathic management" several papers were ready by Dr Saroj Srivastava, Dr Shanta Rai Sharma, Dr R K Jaiswal, Dr HarDayal and Dr Anwar Masood.
