Baldness going going gone.
NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 1995 Nov / Dec VOL VI NO 6.

Cases.
` Puls / Sil.

A young man of 33 years consulted me a year ago for his baldness. As such baldness is not very usual. I probed deep into the history especially to see if any causative factors could be found.

HISTORY:

The patient was working in a middle-east country as a gardener. His main job was to spray pesticide and insecticides on plants. Despite covering his head and nose, his head used to get exposed to the chemicals used in the sprays. This affected his scalp and there was continuous hair loss. As he was on a contract he could not leave his job and come over to India for treatment. By the time his contract ended, he became completely bald.

As his baldness was directly attributable to the injurious effects of the chemical sprays, I implored as to the types of chemicals which were used in the sprays so as to check whether it can be antidoted with a Homoeopathic remedy. The patient indicated that the chemicals included magnesium, potassium and urea.

The other symptoms elicited from the patient were -

  1. Loquacity during sleep
  2. Shrieking during sleep
  3. Gets headache after sleep
  4. Sleeplessness early part of night but sleepy in the morning hours.
  5. Delusions that something bad will happen.
  6. Reproaches himself.

TREATMENT:

He was prescribed Pulsatilla 1M, one dose on 28th August 1994 to antidote the bad effects of magnesium etc. He began to improve and new hair started growing slowly thereafter. On first 6 October 1994, Silicea 200 one dose was prescribed to round up the treatment as Silicea is the natural chronic of Puls. His baldness was completely gone and he has now abundant normal hair.
