Seminar reports.
The first Sarla Sonawala Memorial seminar organised by her able daughter Dr.Vishpala Parthasarathy and her competent team of the NJH, was indeed the outcome of the affectionate outpourings of thousands of lovers of Homoeopathy, who were grief stricken by the sudden and untimely demise of their loving Sarlaben.
Well attended and held at one of the most tastefully selected halls of the Hotel Guestline Days at Juhu, this efficiently organised seminar, therefore, was a token of gratitude offered to a great mother by a loving daughter.
The seminar proceedings began sharp at the appointed time of 9 a.m., with Dr. S.K. Dubey of Calcutta and Dr.K.N. Kasad of Bombay, sharing some fond memories about one of the greatest woman Homoeopaths of our time. The books "Sarla Sonawala Memorial 1995-A women of many facets" and "Nosodes-Pacemakers of our Materia Medica" were released by Dr.K.N.Kasad and Dr.S.K.Dubey respectively.
This was followed by a brief sharing by Dr. Vishpala of the close-to-the-heart and treasured moments with her mother. That was a special day for her on which she realised her dreams and accomplished the seemingly unattainable task of completing 4 books on and of her mother in 4 months time and releasing them on this day. The other two books in Gujarati, Memorial "Sarla Saurabh" and "Manaviya Chikitsa" were released by Shri Gulabdas Broker and Shri Jehan Daruwala in a function held in the evening on the very same day.
At 9.30 am sharp, the main Seminar started: Dr. S.K. Dubey effectively elaborating on the importance of Nosodes in prescribing. He described Psorinum, Medorrhinum, Tuberculinum and touched on Lyssin and some other Nosodes, illustrating these with some interesting cases. This was followed by Dr.Vishpalas short recital, all alone though, of the popular "Sepia and Lachesis: a dialogue with a difference", the narration of which the mother-daughter team was famous for.
The lunch was sumptuous. It was to be followed by Dr. Mahindra Singhs lecture but was graceful taken over by Dr. S.K.Dubey as Dr. Mahindra Singh could not come over to Bombay due to a fall resulting in a slipdisc.
The Seminar ended with the promise of presenting such were organised and educative seminar every year in January, which would provide an opportunity to share and learn. They would indeed be awaited for.
