The 7th International Homoeopathic Conference organized by the Asian Homoeopathic League (AHML) was held at Brisbane in Australia from 19th to 21st May.
It began with a bang with a show on a ferry! The scientific seminar was inaugurated by the Chairman, Dr. P. Pandey. Homoeopaths from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Germany, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India participated in the event.
Dr. P. Pandey from India presented a research paper on "Effectiveness of Homoeopathy in Viral diseases" covering diseases from Measles to Encephalitis.
Dr. Martin of Queensland reiterated the effect of pain in muscle tissue as a lead in diagnosing the organs affected and so stressed the role of history taking and investigations in a patient. It is an indirect use of Acupuncture with Homoeopathy.
Dr. Michael of Melbourne, said use of hormones during menopause can lead to diseases cancer, obesity etc. So it would be safer to advocate Homoeopathy in such cases.
Dr. Krishnamurthy of India stressed the effectiveness of Fraxinus-americanus 30 or 200 in uterine prolapse or fibroids.
Dr. Girish Gupta presented case records of treatment of Fibroid and Cyst by reducing it to 32 percent or 50 percent. According to him - Thuja, Sepia, Pulsatilla and Palladium are some important remedies.
An Allopath turned Homoeopath Dr. V.P. Bansal, mentioned the role of Homoeopathy in the 21st Century and the changes it will undergo. He has successfully used potentised HIV positive blood as an intercurrent in cases of skin diseases, tumours and asthma.
Dr. Alok Parikh, stressed the effectiveness of Homoeopathy over Radiation and Chemotherapy.
Dr. John, Vice President of the league reiterated the role of Homoeopathy in AIDS or similar diseases.
Dr. A.K. Seth wants the word "Classical Homoeopathy" to be erased from the Homoeopathic dictionary.
Dr. Girendra Pal, Principal of Jaipur Homoeopathic Medical College proved the effectiveness of Homoeopathy in Malaria. Ars-alb proved to be the Genus Specific in Jaipur and Rajasthan. He stressed that the anaemia resulting from malaria can also be treated with the remedy and no supplements are required.
A prominent Homoeopath of Australia Dr. David said that Calc-fluor is very effective in Acute Myocardial Infarct. Patients can be saved from a coronary by-pass operation. He does not stop Aspirin intake along with Homoeopathic remedy.
Dr. Sajjak Khan presented cases of osteomyelitis cured by Phosphorus, Silicea, Flouric acid and Strontium-carb.
Dr. Laurence, the organizer and Vice President of the Australia-Asian League wanted Homoeopaths to stop infighting and unite in order to lead Homoeopathy into the 21st century. Dr. Laurence spent his hard earned money in organizing the conference. May his tribe increase.
