OBITUARY
We are extremely sorry to report the passing away of Dr. BHANU DESAI on Thursday, 29th December, 1994. The Homoeopathic word has become poorer by his demise. He leaves behind his daughters Mrs. Meera Shah.
Though a qualified Allopath (MBBS), Dr. Bhanu Desai took to Homoeopathy from the early days of his practice. He used to recount how he learnt about Boger Boenninghausens Repertory from then the famous Dr. Das and also Dr. P. Sankaran. He was regarded as the only knowledgeable teacher of this Repertory, and as a result of the weekly classes he used to hold in 1985 and for a few years thereafter, his students pressed him to bring out his teachings, and thus came the book "How to Find the Simillimum from Boger-Boenninghausens Repertory". It is still the only book giving perfect guidance on how to use this valuable Repertory! He also wrote a book "Bring up Healthy Children with Homoeopathy" in the International Year of the Child. He was very popular both as a teacher of the Repertory in the Classes held by the Dr. Subodh Mehta Medical Centre and with the patients at the Centre where he practiced during the last few years, after closing his own private practice due to old age. His efficiency and gentle nature were proverbial. He used to take part in many Seminars arranged in the Homoeopathic College by Dr. P. Sankaran. He was a true Homoeopath in the sense that he remained a pure and staunch homoeopath throughout his career.
