Homoeopathy is gaining popularity amongst the masses which is highlighted by the fact that all homoeopaths, scientists and students attended the IXth All India Homoeopathic Congress held on 10th Dec 1994 at Bhopal.
Dr. Anil Bhatia expressed his views on the development of the Association. Dr. Sohanlalji, the President of honour said that pollution which is rapidly increasing, would prove disastrous to humanity. Homoeopathy must help by raising the mass immunity. He also gave few helpful tips like use of Hydrastis for Liver Cancer, Kreosote in Uterine Cancer and Veratrum-alb for Cholera.
Dr. L.M. Khan of Calcutta was congratulated on being elected the new President of the Association. He said that cures with Homoeopathy are no miracles but based on fundamental principles. He also gave tips to be used in day to day practice like the use of Natrum-mur in CA Thyroid, Bacillinum for obstinate warts, use of Carcinosin to treat chronic insomnia and Thea for flatulent dyspepsia.
Dr. V.P. Bansal presented a paper on How Homoeopathy will be in the 21th Century. He considered the prospects of homoeopathy very bright due to various factors like education and awareness of Homoeopathy, the side effects of the other system of medicines etc. which all would eventually divert the attention of the masses towards homoeopathy. He advised doctors to practice keeping in mind the totality of the case along with clinical investigations.
Dr. Girish Gupta from Lucknow presented a paper on Enlarged Prostate. He highlighted his theory with slides that an enlarged prostate can be cured more easily and faster than a smaller prostate which takes longer time with slow results.
Dr. Naresh Arora also from Lucknow spoke on Diseases of the spine. He advised the use of two pillows while sleeping to rest the neck and head while lying on the side and said it would give faster and better results. He however advised that pillows might not be used while sleeping flat.
Dr. S.L. Parikh spoke on the Mind symptoms of metals while Dr. M.L. Agarwal talked on symptoms of the mind.
The Secretary General, Dr. Anand Chaturvedi, gave a vote of thanks.
