A Case of Post Menopausal Bleeding
NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 1994 Nov / Dec Vol III No 6.
Diwan Harish.
Cases.
` Calc / Tril.

Mrs BT, a 52 year old lady consulted me on 16th November 1989. She had menopause at 48 years of age. Two years later she was bleeding irregularly whenever she exerted herself physically. With rest it would be fine again. Since the past month the bleeding had increased.

She also had not passed any stool since one week and her appetite had gone down considerably. There was a mild pain in the lower back and abdomen. The backache was worse while sitting.

Treatment:

16th November: Trillium-Pendulum 6X/20 powders at 4-6 hour intervals.

20th November - bleeding reduced though not stopped totally. Calcarea-carb 200 three powders to be taken at noon, evening and bedtime.

The justification of Calcarea-carb - refer to rubric - Menses return after having ceased, old women in KR Page 728.

21st November - I received a note from her husband "feeling better today and continuing medicines given. She took some food by sitting up." Previously she had been unable to do this due to the prolonged bleeding and weakness and I think partly by her temperament.

23rd November - the bleeding stopped on the 20th and she started physical activity. From the 22nd there was a yellow discharge but no blood. With rest it decreased. Her food intake has also steadily improved.

Trillium-pendulum 30/16 powders qid.

I had no further news of the patient until 1994 when I was called to see her in April 1994 for a viral fever. I inquired on her health and the past bleeding, and was informed that there had been no relapse since the last treatment.
