The Ahmedabad Unit of Homoeopathic Medical Association of India (HMAI) has planned a Continuous Homoeopathic Medical Education Programme (CME). This seminar was the first in this series.
Dr. Prakash Vakil focussed on various topics. He narrated a couple of cases and showed a video cassette on drug pictures of Borax, Cina, Chamomilla, Nux Vomica, Helleborus, Tarentula before and after medication.
He spoke at length on Syphillinum as a widely usable Nosode. He threw light on the fact that congenital anomalies of any kind are the guiding symptoms which lead us to the prescription of Syphillinum.
In the post lunch session, he gave a lucid picture of a new remedy that he has introduced in homoeopathic practice" Laprominium-h". He has collected the symptoms from various leprosy patients. Laprominium-h is been prepared from a leprosy nodule. Another preparation of Laprominium is prepared from Armadilo, it is called as Laprominium-A.
Laprominium Features: religiousness, meticulous, emaciated, sad, sympathetic and hopeful. Waxy-oily face, perforated nasal septum, prematurely aged look and dry skin. Easily rejected and dejected.
Dr. Vakil also presented a video case of an AIDS patient, and another patient of malignancy responding to this drug.
He also showed slides featuring the "Tongues" indicating various remedies.
