The Angry Priest.

` Caust.

Mr. Z P, a slim 33 year old male, came with the following complaints-
Chief Complaints:

  1. Vitiligo on left of the neck and on the genitals since 5 years. The vitiligo spot on chin also showed scanty hair growth.
  2. Recurrent colds which come on suddenly at the slightest change in weather. Colds agg getting wet, thinking about complaints and smoke in the fire temple. Sweats profusely after a bout of cough.

    Associated Complaints:

  3. Small painful boils inside the nose, occur periodically.
  4. Hair fall (2+). Dandruff (2+). Early greying of hair.
Patient as a Person:
Appetite-normal
Thirst-normal
Desires-non veg.
Urine-normal.
Stool-normal
Dreams-occasionally. Gets up startled.
Past history-Bronchitis, Palpebral cyst. Hydrocele, Varicocele operated.

Family history:

Grand Mother-Asthma
Uncle-Asthma.
Aunt-Diabetic.
Cousin-Asthma.

Mentals:
Patient comes from a priestly family and is married since 8 years. Has no children. Irritable. When angry he has learnt to step out of the house and aimlessly ride on his scooter, else his anger progresses into destructiveness and he starts breaking things.

Lab Investigations:
Stool-Cysts of E Histolytica present.

Rubrics:

  1. Break things desire to. SR115
  2. Destructiveness. SR 397.
  3. Irritability. Sr 654.
  4. Wander desire to. SR 1061.
  5. Thinking of complaints agg. Ph 350
  6. Sweat coughing agg. Ph 337.
  7. Tendency to take cold. Ph 59.
  8. Face eruptions boils, inside nose K 367.
Treatment:
Tuberculinum surfaced in the repertorial totality and was supported by the physical makeup and the family history.
On 11th May 91 patient was prescribed Tuberculinum-bov 200 three doses and placebo for 2 weeks.
The patient saw me again when he had an accidental burn on the left arm while offering prayers in the Fire temple. The burnt area was cleaned and regular dressings of potato peel with Calendula were done for one month. Orally Causticum 30 was given. The wound healed well and no post burn vitiligo or contracture has been noticed.

Date Follow Up Treatment
23-5-91 Cold.> Vitiligo same SL x 1 week.
1-6-91 Cold>, must keep clearing the throat Vitiligo same Tub-bov 1M(2).
SL x 2 weeks.
15-6-91 Vitiligo improving. Cold> SL x 3 weeks.
20-7-91 > Vitiligo. Hair appears a the spot. SL x 1 month.
22-8-91 No further improvement. Tub-bov 1M (2)
SL x 1 month.
29-9-91 > > Vitiligo, Spots on genitals disappeared SL x month.
2-1-91 No change. Cold again. Sweats profusely Tub-bov 10M (1) SL x 1 month
11-1-92 > Spot gradually merging with skin colour. Complaints of itching at the site of vitiligo. SL x 1 month
26-2-92 > Spot almost disappeared. Normal growth of hair on the chin. SL x month.
